I got this for my boyfriend because he was going to Manhattan for a job for 3 weeks and he wore the shungite nonstop, I believe it helped him in a few tricky situations. He came back one piece! I will probably order more. Plus, it came in a beautiful box with lots of info. Fast shipping.

Update: I'm getting used to the shape that looks like an underground tourmaline-shape specimen with a black, glassy surface. It's growing on me because it takes away enough pain to make a difference!I try to remember to reach for it in the morning along with my clothes.Original Review: This Shungite Necklace is purportedly used for Chakra and Energy Balancing and claims to come directly from the only place Shungite may be found on Earth.As someone who loves minerals, gems and healing and complementary medicine, I had to check this out.No surprise that it is cheaply assembled by drilling and attaching or gluing (not sure which but think they drilled it)a metal O-Hook to the middle of the mineral specimen and threading a thin, cheap faux(?) leather string through. You decide where to make a knot on the end so it hangs the length you like.I say no surprise because you can clearly see the assemblage in the item photos.The size of the specimen however, is a surprise. Item description/photos show a nice chunk in a pleasant shape. I received an undersized specimen with an incomplete look to it.Still, I feel a pleasant sensation from wearing it. Some (arthritis) pain I was experiencing and cold (it's a cold day) went away after I put it on.I cannot substantiate any of the healing or other claims being made about Shungite or its origin.I can just report my experience. It did something for me! Wow!~I am very unsatisfied with the LOOK specimen sent to me.I make jewelry with stones, gems, minerals and other interesting items and would never pick this specimen to make a necklace with because it is just not that large or interesting. It's not even as big as my thumb, and I have small hands!To the manufacturer: If you are going to build up Shungite, at least offer a chunk that looks appreciable, and relatable to the item description.Well, shame on me for not looking at the uninteresting pendants they show in photos.I only noted the beautiful main piece in the first photo.Also, description mentions it as navy blue but it appears as black to me.I would recommend finding a LARGE interesting chunk somewhere, if you are seriously interested in exploring this stone.The size of this is suitable for adding to your own collection or perhaps for a child.
