Drone
This is the same as the other drone I reviewed sans camera - so my thoughts are similar, but I actually think this one is better in terms of value.I would have no use for the camera on the other one so with that in mind you could save a Jackson on this unit and I really think it is the better buy of the two again with overall value considered. It is a good solid entry level drone and it is done very well. Its fun to fly and stable enough to not be frustrating. Parameters adjust well and once you tune it you are up and flying in short order most importantly allow you enough control of the unit and a decent amount of precision. The drone itself is pretty well made. Its lightweight so it will get chucked about by any type of wind (part of the fun!) but can also be used indoors fine. The guards do a good job of protecting the blades and the landing pads are excellent in protecting the camera and providing an even landing even in the case of a crash / half crash. The remote whilst aesthetically an eyesore is quite good and you have plenty of control over the drone - most importantly it reacts well and quickly and the rotor tuning works well. You can almost tune it to a perfect standing hover but usually it will want to drift although at this price point I can live with that. I crashed the crap out of it to test and nothing broke. Spare rotors and guards are included in case but its pretty lightweight so unless you add velocity on a crash you should be safe - just learn not to panic if you mess it up and set it down safely don’t just drop the throttle till the last second. Its actually a good drone for trying all the tricks and things you wouldn't do with an expensive one until your skills are up.The lights are very cool but you can’t turn them off. I don’t think I would want to but some might - I guess you could take them out of cover with tape if it really bothered you. They do serve a function of flashing when your battery is going to die which is nice but you can usually tell when it starts to lack power. You can throw it and start it will auto stabilise so that is always fun. It does have a flip button which I didn’t mess with as most of my flying has been indoors with this unit (when i should have been working)It has two modes of power (Hi or Low) which is good for the novice but makes little to no difference unless you jam the throttle.Cons-The blade protectors mould is a little off so you will get the rotors clipping a lot. This is really annoying so re mould them in hot water.- On any half crash the guards will come out a bit and you will have to reset them all or you will get rotor clipping.- Battery life isn’t great but the payoff is size and weight so I will live with it. It is never great you can buy replacement batts cheap so just grab a few and charge them all up when you head out.- The charging cable doesn’t like 1 amp chargers. The thing got ridiculously hot so prob just stick to regular USB ports where is got warm but had no issue.- Controller is bigger than it needs to be and ugly and a bit tacky. Why they model these things on RC Car models from the 80s I will never know.Product provided for review - its just my opinion

You get what you pay for
I must have reveived a dud. I see all of these great reviews for the Quadrone Pro, but mine is a complete joke. The little cages that go around the propellers are not even wide enough for the propellers to clear; so they bang into the cage. I finally had to cut sections of the cages off to make it work.Instructions are extremely minimal, so be prepared to do a lot guessing. There is, as far as I can see, also no landing method. When you bring the drone down to slowly land, it simply drops out of the sky and crashes. Admittedly, I still may need some practice, but with the other issues, just getting it into the air was a miracle.
