If you have kids you know you need some type of shelving. We originally had baskets but they quickly got fulled and with 5-6 baskets on the floor it really starts to look messy fast. We looked for toy chests but then again once those are full you can't go higher. We thought of bookshelves or those IKEA squares shelving. but you need baskets for the toys to stay in. We finally found the perfect choice on these Badger bins, they are deeper than regular bookshelves and have the front board that help keep toys inside. It also helps that you can stack them with different models/colors so you can go crazy with the designs.They are pretty straightforward to assemble and with a portable drill you can do it relatively fast. Just make sure the parts align right. I had to make the whole deeper for the two wooden pegs so that they would go half way in as supposed to. Also one of our bins came bad from stock with the insert for the back cardboard on the wrong side, so I had to return it. But that was free return from Amazon or you can contact Badger and they supposedly ship the required part within 2 days.Overall pretty happy with these, just remember if you are going to stack them to attach them together on the back(brackets come included) and also anchor them to the wall (screws not included) because those kids will climb on it .

I would rate at 0 stars if I could. As I started to put this together the wood started to crumble where screws were suppose to go. The screws that were provided were cut off at the tip so a cm or 2 is missing. How am I suppose to screw in these when there is no tip and the holes are not pre-drilled? Well after drilling the holes, I started to assemble it. The pieces do not fit together properly. There is a gap on the bottom base that toys fall through. And the side pieces did not fit in the holes that were pre-drilled in the base. I had to shift the pieces forward to make them fit, which in turn made the gap bigger.To add to it, the color is not what is pictured. I've submitted pictures and descriptions to the manufacturer to see if I can get a replacement.Buy something else!Update: I contacted the company personally. They sent me out a new bin. This one goes together great. It holds lots of toys. If I were to say anything bad about it is that the metal piece that is suppose to hold two or more of them together, is very flimsy. I bought a better piece from a hardware store, it works so much better.

We just received the Badger Basket two bin and three bin storage containers in blue. My husband was able to put one together in less than 20 minutes. The other arrived with two broken parts. I got onto the Badger Basket website and they have a super easy parts claim form. It took all of 2 minutes to fill out what parts I need and they are shipping me new ones within 3-14 business days free of charge. This is included in their 30 day warranty.The products themselves are very sturdy and a perfect storage solution for our son's room. Yes, the screws are visible but that is no big deal in my opinion. For the price you cannot find a comparable product out there and these are staying in my son's room so aesthetics really aren't of high importance. They come with hardware so you can stack them together, however, if you are stacking more than two I would invest in sturdier, more secure hardware as what is in included is kind of flimsy.All in all, I am pleased with this product and am glad that I didn't spend double to order a similar product elsewhere.

I ordered the two bin and the three bin storage units. The two bin unit did not have the hardware to put the unit together. I am guessing this is not a rare occurrence due to the very large and constantly repeated instructions on how to request replacement parts for pieces missing or damaged. The company website said it would take between 3 and 14 days to receive the missing pieces. Great.However the three bin storage unit was easy to put together and is exactly what I was looking for.They send little circle stickers to cover the holes containing screws. It took about 5 seconds for our son to find one and immediately stick his finger through the sticker squishing it into the hole and about 5 minutes later the top surface was already scratched from where he played on it with a toy.I would not recommend this to anyone looking for something perfect. If you want it for a playroom and don't mind something a little off then go for it. I was not expecting perfect because of the price, and I definitely got what I paid for.

I had been looking for a way to organize all of my son's larger toys. He has a few large toys and play sets that are too big for our toy sorter. I thought this would be the perfect solution. The storage bins are nice and deep. It is very easy to put together, once you figure out the instructions. Like others have written, the paint scratches easily and the open screw holes are unattractive to look at, but for the price it's very sturdy and easy for a 2 year old to reach in and out of. This spring I'm going to plug the screw holes with epoxy putty and repaint the box with a better paint. I don't mind doing this because the design and construction of the storage cubby are so perfect for my needs.

I agree with other reviewers about the cheesiness of the stickers covering the screws. I opted to not use the stickers and have the screws show in their holy tackiness. Toy box excels in all other aspects required of toy boxes--toys are easily accessible by small children, toy box is sturdy enough to not move when small children pull themselves up on it, and small toys don't really get lost inside. This is definitely the cheap knock-off from the Land of Nod box, but I think it's a pretty good knock off. I'm convinced that better materials are worth 3 times the price of this one.
