Ich habe einen schleifstein daheim mit einer 6000 körnung, der mir meine messer fast spiegelglatt schleift.Dieser Stein ist mit seinen angeblichen 8000 nicht mal ansatzweise vergleichbar. Mein vorheriger 1000er Stein kommt an diese Körnung ran.Bin wirklich bitter enttäuscht von diesem Betrug.Werde den Artikel nun benutzt zurückgeben müssen. Das regt mich noch viel mehr auf als einfach nur verarscht zu werden.

Sharpening a knife well with whetstones is a skill that takes practice. Buying a set of stones won't have you creating silky smooth, razor sharp edges first go, no matter how many videos you watch that make it seem like a breeze.Cheaper knives have lower quality steel, which can also make achieving that edge more difficult.These stones are very good for the price - certainly worthwhile for a novice.There are a couple of buts...The angle guide won't work for all knives - basic geometry dictates that the angle produced will vary depending on the width of the blade. A bit gimmicky.The flattening stone isn't going to cure any dishing - it's a small block that will simply sit in any dish. A flatting stone (or lapping plate) needs to be much bigger, so that it bridges over low areas and only abrades the high spots, to work effectively. However, this was obvious before purchasing and not a deal breaker for me.The stones I received have the grit labelled incorrectly - the 400 grit is definitely the green rather than darker blue. I think the white is indeed 8000 but determining which blue is 1000 vs 3000 - can't tell.

Good set of whetstones. You get what you pay for so they’re not a top class professional set - but the neither are you if you’re considering them! Sturdy and reliable so far.

From a beginners experince perspective it's really easy to do but hard to master. Product did meet all expectations

Die Aufdrucke sind bei mir vertauscht. Der 1000er ist der feinste mit wenig Abtrag und nur zum polieren geeignet und der 3000er ist der gröbste Stein in meinem Set. Nach 4 Stemmeisen und 4 Messern bin ich drauf gekommen, weil ich sie nicht scharf bekommen habe. Wenn man es weiß funktioniert es, aber bis dahin habe ich ein paar Stunden verschwendet.
