Surprised at how much more comfortable it felt compared to popular neck pillows during long flights. Very worth it.

Have neck pain due to a myriad of reasons. My biggest issue is the position of my neck while sleeping and being a person that does not move at all while asleep, if I got and stayed in a bad position, the next day was not pleasant. I was using a traditional collar while sleeping but it was too bulky. Tried others, but too rigid. This one is sleek, soft and has just the right amount of support. I also do several types of exercises to help with my neck and shoulder muscles which aggravate my issue. But I've seen a good amount of improvement overall. Also use this when I notice I'm looking down too much while doing my thing during the day, another habit I need yo correct.

I love this pillow! I've gone through 2 of them, and could own a dozen. They work wonderfully, and I was going to buy them as gifts for people this year...but they've doubled in price in the past month. Not sure why.I had major cervical spinal surgery in May and still sleep with some kind of brace on, but this little "pillow" is perfect for traveling sitting upright or sitting anywhere that I might fall asleep upright. It keeps my head from tilting to either side, and mostly from tilting downward towards the front. It's also great for working on my laptop - keeps me from sitting in uncomfortable positions.The sizing can be a little confusing (and isn't really well-described anywhere...). If you have a smaller neck, regular is perfect. A large is a must have for men, or anyone without a thin neck. My neck was quite swollen when I first bought one, and I wasn't sure if it was the appropriate size - then as the swelling went down and now that my neck is back to normal size, I'm quite happy with it.I highly recommend this item ---- just not for $49.95! It's a $19.99 item on other sites and even from other sellers here. When I bought it, I got it for $19.95 with Prime shipping - what's up with this pricing???

I have owned one of these collars for at least two years and have used it almost daily. Recently I realized the velcro was getting a little thin and not holding firm, so I decided to order a new one. First I ordered the teal and black just because it looks nice but I found that the width of the collar right under my chin was greater by nearly a half inch. The result was enough increased traction to pull my spine right out of plumb and I was in pain for two days. I assumed the change was just in the collars with colors. I was wrong. Caldera has obviously changed the design on all these collars.RETURNING CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE ADVISED IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION THAT THESE ARE NOT THE COLLARS THEY HAVE BEEN USING.NEW CUSTOMERS SHOULD KNOW THAT THIS COLLAR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO A SENSITIVE SPINE AND NECK. TOO MUCH TRACTION IS DANGEROUS, EVEN WHEN SUPERVISED BY A PROFESSIONAL.UPDATE: A friend with much less severe neck and spine problems than mine tried on this collar and took it off after about two minutes because it had thrown her back out and sparked her neck pain.

I have terrible terrible chronic pain. It stems from my neck and then it pinches a nerve and then it tenses every muscle in my body. When I have a flare up it's extreme. I've been using one of those inflatable neck traction devices. Although it brings me relief it also makes me still feel tense. When I put this brace on I felt relaxed. It's not too tight. It's soft. And I don't feel constricted. I simply feel supported and relieved. I'm really really thankful that I ordered this. I'm not sure why anyone would give it less than five stars unless it just doesn't fit them right. I've used the standard neck braces before and they're very uncomfortable for me. They push my teeth together too much that I can't relax. There's just enough movement that I can move my jaw. I also can't eat food or drive in the standard neck braces. I could do both with this neck brace. Loving it!

I have tried TONS of different neck pillows, wanting to find the perfect balance between comfort, portability, and effectiveness. This one is the best I've found! Here is what makes it better: #1, it goes ALL the way around your neck, so it keeps your head from falling forward when you sleep! (That is huge for me.) #2, It is more comfy than an inflatable pillow, and still doesn't take up much room in your bag. #3, The size is adjustable for different neck sizes. Things that would make it perfect: If it had "wings" off the side so you could rest your head sideways while still supporting your neck. If it was just a little bit shorter -- I found that it's just a bit too tall for my neck, and that makes it hard to look down (like when you're reading). It does have a part that curves down for your chin, but I'd like that to be a bit bigger. It does look a little funny when you have it on. Like you have a neck injury or something. But it is worth it when I arrive at my destination without a sore neck! Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. I fly a lot and I think I'll be using this pillow for quite awhile.
