Great
Received reasonably fast. Well packed. Nothing missing. EXCEPT, no "stakes" included to anchor it into the ground. Don't know if I was supposed to receive those or not, but oh well. I don't see how they'd do much good anyway. The holes you'd drive them in are small small. So it'd be like driving a bamboo skewer into the holes. But NOT A PROBLEM. Haven't decided if I'm going to get one of those 'sandbag' weights to go around the base, or try to make my own decorative concrete molded block. I read where someone just put patio paver's on this type umbrella base, but that is so uneven when it's sitting on the base/'legs', it just wobbles like crazy. And looks ugly.Easy to follow instructions. Had it up in no time. It's HUGE. Gotta love it.I was a bit concerned at first because the material seems 'thin'. About the thickness of a regular umbrella. I was expecting a thicker "canvas" type material. But it's supposed to be UV protected, and when the blazing sun came out we were perfectly cool.It gives a soft 'filter' to the sun and definitely keeps the heat off. Shades you nicely. And we live in southern Louisiana. HOT. So my concerns were for naught. The color is exactly like my computer screen displays. I don't know WHERE they got the description "beige"?! It's not beige at all. I have a true beige patio set and it's not even close. To me, 'beige' has a tan or brown base. This is more of a cream base. It's like a VERY light creamy yellow. Like a stick of that very expensive foreign butter. Pale Pale. Cream yellow. I actually LOVE the color. MUCH more that I would have if it were a true beige. And yes, it goes perfectly well with the beige patio furniture. If it had been a true beige it might have been beige overload. Or looked like when you try to match 2 different materials of black. Like a black skirt and a black shirt made of different materials. If it's different materials(dye lots), it's just always "off". So I am thrilled with the color. One thing, and I am OCD about stupid things....the fabric is so light colored and not a thick canvas, when leaves, small twigs, or nobby things fall off the trees and land on the umbrella, you can see it silhouetted through the fabric. Now this could be bad, or good if you like an artistic effect. I just "pop" the bottom of the fabric and they bounce off. Or I just close it! LoL. Just saying.Definitely recommend.

This umbrella is huge!
UPDATED REVIEW:I wrote a glowing review of the FDW 10' Hanging Umbrella at the time I re-ordered another one, due to the first one being worn out. Well, the second one falls far short of the first. Example: I was able to sit under the first one in the rain without getting wet. No more. The thin material now being used allows the rain thru, soaking me and everything on the table. The other thing is that it doesn't seem to crank as high, so I have to duck a little. And then there's a piece that's supposed to be attached under the center of the umbrella that won't stay in place. It's a piece of junk compared to how these were made before. I would strongly recommend not buying this umbrella. The bean counters must have figured out how to manufacture it more cheaply, and it shows. I regret trusting this manufacturer to maintain the quality level.PREVIOUS REVIEW:We have a wooden deck with a six-seat outdoor dining table. We wanted a large umbrella that would shade most of it from the sun. This umbrella did the trick. It's huge! The pole is positioned at one corner of our table and the base doesn't really get in the way of the chair its near. The base does need to be secured with either bolts or some kind of weight, for the umbrella to stay upright. We didn't want to drill holes in our deck, and figured we might want to move it from time to time, so we went with two inexpensive 50 pound bags of sand from the garden shop at Home Depot. It pivots on its base so if it needs to be adjusted due to the location of the sun, you can do that easily. We purchased the umbrella two years ago, and since we open it every day and close it every night, we've kind of worn it out. The umbrella stays open, but kind of sags down a little now, but we didn't think twice about ordering a new one. We've definitely gotten our money's worth. It's like being in your own little world when you're sitting under it. Highly recommended!!!

Loving my FDW 10” Patio umbrella
This product arrived early, it was so easy to assemble we bought a sand bag and filled it with 2 bags of sand as the weight for this umbrella. It is very sturdy and great value for money. We wanted to enjoy our small deck without spending too much. This item provides great coverage, we love it. I would make this purchase again knowing what I know now.

Making our deck more enjoyable but read review.
Overall we really like this patio umbrella. There are a few things I would change. 1) the knobs used to tighten to the pole so it doesn't spin keeps coming loose and one of them actually snapped. We're fixing this by drilling a hole and putting a bolt through both poles since once we get it in the position we want we wouldn't turn it anyway. 2) it does not rise when you crank it or lift easily. You have to physically lift the part that goes up and extends the umbrella. For a short person like me, not easy but doable. Going to try waxing the inner pole and see if that makes it easier. Even with those 2 things I still absolutely recommend this. Making our deck much more enjoyable.

The company was very nice and sent up a new piece
Arrived with a broken piece. The company was very nice and sent up a new piece. No big deal. But then the cord the is the main vein in the umbrella snapped. Making the crank not functional and unable to operate the umbrella. I had to do a fabrication and attach a chain the would allow me to open the umbrella manually. Too much of a hassle to pack up and return.
