purple rage is awesome!
I am a dark brunette and I did have to bleach my hair first, bad then I washed it 4x to make sure all the bleach was out (or you will end up with blue) . I left the product on for about an hour. I only wash with color safe conditioner - no shampoo. I also now put one bottle of purple rage into about 16 oz of conditioner and about 4oz water, and every other week I put this on dry hair for 10 minutes (it doesn't make a nasty mess or stain your skin when you do this so it's quite easy) and my hair stays a brilliant purple. I only have to re-dye when it's time to bleach my roots again
