So far one of the two lights popped on at dusk from just an hour of diffuse solar light from the window of a Manhattan skyscraper facing North. Yep, I bought these dynamic duos for use in an apartment in the event of a power outage and/or as a travel flash light. I like that these will stand on their peg (with the stake removed); and that the torch and the solar panel will swing on an arch so they both face the same way or opposite directions. Fabulous. They are certainly waterproof as there are no compartments that you can open and the on/off button is a rubber clicker. What I am waiting to see is how well they charge and how long they light. Having just received them, I will have to wait to report back with that. I give it 3 stars so far: they are big (not tiny cheap toys); they are built strong (no loose swiveling); and at least one worked right off. By the way, the beam of light is fair but not like your favorite LED flashlight. So until I know different, 3 stars.Update: These seem to have responded to the morning sun which banks off some glass skyscrapers to my Northern view. But until I see whether the full day of ambient light can charge these to do their job, e.g., stay lit for 8 hours on the low setting, then I am removing a star for something that revealed itself to be a packaging problem. As the two photos attached show, the instructions say to remove a protective film, but how? Is it the milky appearance of the face of the solar panel; then where is a tab to pull? I don't want to be the one to damage my new solar spotlights. I am waiting on a reply from the seller.Update: Waited for a reply but none has come. So the review has to remain two stars with a warning to anyone interested to stay away from this seller. There are other sellers who might be more responsive. I hold by my impressions: the product seems well-built, but I only got 4 hours of light out of them on the low setting. At some point I will have to risk picking at one of them to see if there is a film covering the solar panel, but at present there's no way to tell if that would damage the solar panel.

These lights are exactly what I expected based on the other reviews. I will be using them to light up my flag and when not using it for the flag they will be used for my landscape. They are well-made and I do not see any points where rust will be affected. I purchased some cheap spotlights from Target and all of the screws rusted in 2 days. Target's price was $5.00 each at 2 lumens which barely lit a flower. This product is priced great for an excellent result. These do not have exposed screws so I do not see any rusted hardware so far.The clear bright white light illuminates the landscape beautifully. As a side note, a friend saw mine and purchased a set for her front yard. Apparently someone else loved the lights too because they were stolen within 3 days of using them.

Great little lights, and brighter than I expected. I use these at the end of the deck stairs and for casting light into the back yard for the dog to go out at night. Even when they don't get a full day of sun, they produce plenty enough bright light for at least 6 hours. I don't know how much longer they last at that brightness, as 6 hours is as late as we've seen them after dark.I'm thinking of getting another set for the front steps/walkway

I bought these to use as path lights. They are really quite bright. I feel like they would be better mounted and pointed downward like a spotlight. It's hard to direct the light at the path to get the best use of them without blinding people with my specific driveway setup. I do like them and will use them. I may find something else to use and put these somewhere else. For the time being it's nice to have some light.

Have used these solar lights for some time now and find they operate as advertised. The low setting allows for the lights to last all night and provides security lighting while they double as landscape lighting. Lights arrived ahead of schedule and are perfect for all lighting needs.

I bought it thinking that it will be soft white (2600K -3000K). But this one is 5000K.I still liked it. So decided to keep it. But the seller should make it clear on the product page.

lights work great, as long as it's sunny during the day. But Hey, they're solar powered!

These lights are super bright. Once they were charged, I was really shocked at how bright they were. I could use one as a flash light if I needed to. I put three in the front of my house to light up the walkway (the sun shines in that area for a good 8 hours) and they stay lit all night.
