There isn’t any real insular quality to these but the canvas seems pretty durable. The cord to tighten them is hard to cinch because of the stiffness. If you install these when it is really cold out, you might want to warm them up first otherwise risking having them blow off in a strong wind.

I installed this covers for the hurricane Dorian that finally didn't hit Florida, so that I don't know how good these hoods are. As an added precaution I duct-taped the final setting around the neck of the mushroom-vents. The canvas has an impregnated protection so that it's water-proof. On the negative side, the tying cord slides badly and has a knot that makes the sliding even more difficult.

The seller performed properly, but I was disappointed at the very thin nature of the material. I do not think it will stand up to severe weather. My medium ratings for durability and value are based on my expectations, and not on experience. We will see. I also bought a canvas cover at the same time, and was very satisfied with that product.

Good design, fit easily with some struggling due to material thickness getting it on. Look nicer than black plastic covers. Likely last a long time.

Easy to pop over the turban vents, use built in ties. Better quality fabric than we had previous years but same price.
