Playability is great I love these strings

These strings are nice and controlled, they're balanced in terms of being both bright and detailed while also having some soulful, deep harmonics. That said, I ordered two packages and I'm glad I did because both the A & E strings broke on proper installation when trying to get to the 4th octave (normal Uke octave). It was not clear to me whether these were designed to go to G4 C4 E4 A4 or to stay in the 3rd octave where the baritone normally plays. I confirmed these are made to go to normal Uke pitch (4th octave) and tried the second set and it worked without breaks. Love them so far, but skeptical they will last as I think that they are literally at their limit of tension for their gauge setup how they are intended.11 month Update:. The A string broke while not in use after 11 months. Restrung it with the same string twice but it was too weak and would not achieve tune. Order a third set. Will look for something different that's more durable soon. Should not take 3 sets to last a year of occasional use.

Very sturdy nice sounding strings

I wasn’t adapting to the Baritone uke standard tuning and I wanted to use it in rotation with my smaller ukes, so I got a set of these GCEA’s. I am very happy with the tone. I got another set for my nephew to try and convert a 30” guitarlele.

I have tried other gCEA strings on my bari but these are the only ones where the A didn't snap during the first tuning/restring. I have had them on the Uke for a month with no issues and I am buying one more set to have around just in case.SIDE NOTE: I did not use the high G, instead I opted to use a low G string on my Kala (with truss rod).

Finally got my uke and got to put these strings to use. They sound great. It'll take a couple days to get the tuning to stick but when its on, my uke sounds wonderful. The sound is rich and complex and with the right song just haunting... love that I got to cheat getting a baritone uke and not learning all new chords

Got the strings on time. Put them on my Caramel Baritone uke. They sounded good.....however after 3 days, the "C" string broke. Used the original "B" string and tightened . Worked okay , sounded ok.

First of all, OUTSTANDING SOUNDING STRINGS!!! POSSIBLY THE BEST IVE EVER PLAYED. Now with that said, the A string broke three times!!! I was lucky that the strings are long and it broke at the bridge knot each time. I've probably restrung 50 ukuleles in My life and NEVER broken a string. Upon reading other reviews, I found this to be common.

I purchased these strings to have a low G set available when I want to use it. It was purchased for a light coloured ukulele which will look good with the black strings. The company has a good reputation

Auf meiner Bariton Ukulele spielte ich bisher Aquila Saiten in der normalen Stimmung d-g-h-e'. Für Gitarristen mag diese Stimmung recht einfach sein, ich hatte jedoch als Ukulelen Anfänger große Schwierigkeiten damit, besonders bei den "schwierig" zu greifenden Akkorden. Deshalb entschloß ich mich für diese speziellen Bariton Saiten in g-c-e-a. Soweit ich weiß, gibt es diese Stimmung nur von Aquila. Der Erfolg stellte sich schnell ein, das Spielen fiel mir nun bedeutend leichter und machte endlich Spaß! Ein Riesenvorteil ist außerdem, daß man nun die vielen Lehrbücher, Videos usw. für Sopran, Concert und Tenor nutzen kann – für die exotische Bariton gibt es bekanntlich nur sehr wenig davon.ACHTUNG: Namen und Reihenfolge der Saiten sind zwar die gleichen wie für S, C und T, jedoch eine Oktave tiefer gestimmt mit g-c-e-a (also NICHT g'-c'-e'-a'). Ferner ist zu beachten, daß alle Saiten langsam in Stimmung zu bringen sind, sie brauchen etwa 1 Woche, bis sie die Stimmung halten. Fazit: Diese Saiten sind sehr leicht und angenehm zu greifen, ich bin damit sehr zufrieden.

These strings have such a lovely sound, and it makes me so happy to hear my ukulele sing again. They have a good "feel" about them which I find helpful for fingerpicking.I would have rated them a 5, but the 'A' string was a tad on the short side for my baritone. Had to compensate by using a capo on the third fret, which is what I could have done with regular baritone strings. Now working on moving my fingers around that capo.I would buy Lava strings again - I have a concert uke that I would like to use them on.
