Disappointing book
I was bit disappointed reading this book although I really shouldn't be considered it was written by an American author. The examples given in the book are quite trivial. Boring to read.

Wonderfully written and insightful
I work as a Clinical Psychologist. My heart and mind have been moved by Jon's words. An excellent book. He speaks of learning from ourselves by facing the truth that lies behind our symptoms. I've read it twice now, as I wanted to give more time to the many insights this book offers. For anyone looking to development themselves - whether engaged in therapy or not - this is worthy of your time.

Read this, change your life!
Jon Frederickson shows us how to start living life to fullest, instead of the illusion/fantasy most of us have created. Illusions/fantasies create disappointments, hatred, biases, irresponsibility and a whole flurry of life altering problems. He gives real-life examples how the truth hurts, sometimes really, really hurts but facing the truth breaks down barriers allowing us to engage with the world as it is, not within our fantasies. Get this book, change your life!"We can spend an entire lifetime running from ourselves to an obscure objective called cure, recovery, or enlightenment. Yet we need not seek anything because our feelings, our anxiety, the lies we tell ourselves, even the truths we avoid - everything is here". ~ Jon Frederickson.
