Solid, high quality hanging hooks, and good value for the money. My only complaint applies to a simple design flaw; it is nearly impossible to use a socket wrench on one of the bolts (the one opposite the swing bolt head), as the bolt extends beyond the nut just far enough to interfere with a socket wrench head. If the manufacturer simply used a slightly shorter swing bolt, problem solved! But no, you can use a socket wrench with one bolt and then have to use an adjustable wrench on the other bolt, and that is difficult with arms above your head. The second bolt takes twice as long and is much more exhausting to secure.

These are monster hangers! I have a metal swing that weighs a good deal and can seat two people, who could also add good amounts of weight. I wanted something that would stand the stress and these hangers are fine. We put them on the side of a 2 x 6 stringer on the ceiling of my lower deck rather than on the bottom of the board. We thought the heavy duty screws we used might have split the board from the bottom, but the side position is very sturdy. I was concerned the moving parts would be impeded in the side position, but the swing still swings as much as it should on a deck. If we had had a different board to mount it from, we would have had the hook holders pointing down for maximum swing, but maybe this is better in view of the rough and tumble children who will be swinging on the deck.

I guess I didn’t really know what I was ordering with these because I was shocked when they arrived. They are very heavy-duty and weigh quite a bit. I believe they are some kind of coated iron. We used these to hang my porch swing, and I honestly believe a pair of elephants could sit there and these would not give. I feel very safe using these and have no fear of the swing coming down no matter who is sitting on it. Great value for the money!

These swing hangers are very heavy duty. Installed them for my porch swing. When I bought these, I knew that they didn't come with any hardware, so I just had to get some "S" hooks to attach to my chains (and springs), and lag bolts to attach them to my roof rafter. They work great. Just remember, these are heavy duty, which also means "large".The holes are 1/2" diameter. I used 3/8" lag screws 3-1/2 long, with washers. Predrilled the holes to prevent over-torqueing and breaking the screws.

The hooks are great and work as I expected them too.I would like to have guidelines for the type of bolts to use to hang the hooks. For example the size bolt for the weight my swing will support. In my case the swing max weight is 500 lbs. and I attached the hooks to 2x6 beam. What size bolts do I need? (e.g. 3/8" x 3")

haven't finished the swing yet. I miss my swing that I had built at my old house. when I went to take it down little Gavin asked me what I was doing. when I explained he said "your mean." I put it back. now I'm building a new one. your hangers look strong and very serviceable and affordable.

Used on my small porch swing and they work very well. I was 68 years old when I installed these and they hold up even with my xxlarge hubby!

Excellent product - very strong and durable. Just bought a second set. Don't forget to buy hardware separately - four lag bolts, washers and nuts, either 1/2" (preferred) or 3/8", long enough to pass through and secure on the top of your beam (7" or 8" long). Product arrived on time and well packaged. Seller was excellent.
