These bulbs are the closest match we could find to match color and brightness of the old 60 watt soft light bulbs. It was an important consideration for us. These bulbs hang in entry light fixture, dining room chandelier, and pendant lights over a kitchen counter. 12 bulbs in all - all visible in the same range of area and with other lights from lamps and ceiling can lights - all have to blend together. These were perfect for us. We ordered 3 more 6 packs ... because you just know over time we won't be able to find the bulbs again in a year, 2 or 3 or 4 as the bulbs burn out. So we stocked up . They're not expensive. They're packaged with great care in bubble wrap individually and boxed individually too. Nice looking. Warm light - not orange though.

I recently installed pendant lights over my kitchen island, and these are the third bulb I have tried. I feel like Goldlocks. The first set was Lucero Edison Bulb ST64 60W Dimmable - Vintage Squirrel Cage Design - Clear Glass Old Fashioned Light Bulbs with Antique Thomas Edison Style Filament for Retro Pendant Lighting - 3 Pack. They were far too dim. They were dimmable, but honestly, you couldn't get much darker. Might be good for a dining room but not for the kitchen where you actually need to see what you are doing. Plus, one stopped working after just a couple months. Next I tried Edison bulb – BWL 6.5W Edison Light Bulbs, 60W Replacement, 2700K Warm White Light, 800 Lumens, ST64 Antique Shape with E26 Base, ETL Listed, 1 Pack. This was so bright through a clear glass shade that I was still seeing spots a half hour after glancing at it. Enter these Rolay bulbs. Just right! Bright enough over my island, but not so bright that they are painful to look at. Look great in my vintage fixtures. This one's a keeper.

These are literally the best Edison bulbs out there if you’re looking for ones that can actually brighten up a space without burning up your retinas when you look straight at them. I got these for an open light fixture that hangs over my small dining table, and they are perfect: they cast a good amount of light while adding some vintage farmhouse charm to an otherwise very modern space.These lights also arrived in perfect condition, with each individual bulb cushioned by bubble wrap and in its own mini box within a larger box (see photos).

The light bulbs themselves are very nice. They are bright and look great. I ordered 2 - 6 packs for the new light fixtures I bought and they work great. The only issue I had was that one of the bulbs was broken when I received the package. I kind of half assumed this may happen since we are talking about shipping light bulbs. I would give them 4 1/2 if I could. The picture I've attached does not give the brightness of the bulbs justice.

One reviewer complained that these are too bright for an Edison bulb. I have the opposite sentiment. Before finding these bulbs, I had bought two other brands of 60 watt Edison bulbs for a light fixture and 4 of them together (240 watts total) did not put out enough light. The other bulbs were nice to look at but not very practical nor energy efficient and so I returned them and ordered these bulbs. These Edison bulbs are much brighter but by no means too bright for our appliation. They are exactly what we wanted - sufficiently bright but still very nice to look at even at full power. If we want less light, we just use our dimmer switch. They do look "cooler" when we turn down the dimmer switch, but sometimes we actually need some light to see what we're doing and these fit the bill.

After purchasing and returning multiple light bulbs, reading review after review, buying one dimmer after another hoping the LED lights would stop flickering and/or humming, I have finally found the light bulbs that work. I have a fixture I put in the kitchen purchased from West Elm, it just needs edison bulbs to look right, so I purchased some, but they were too dim. They were the amber tinted kind. Being the kitchen, light needs to be bright so you can see what you are doing, cooking, etc. The previous fixture with two standard 40W incandescent globe bulbs was fine, but now I had 8 bulbs and the light was dimmer, too dim. So, thinking I would be energy conscious, I tried some 2700K LED dimmable edison bulbs purchased here on Amazon, with one of those Lutron LED dimmers. The lights were too bright, like a bluish color and they had a constant 60Hz strobe flicker. You could visibly see moving your hands quickly that there was constant strobe effect. So, I tried some other LED edison bulbs that were 2200K and tinted yellow. This brand did not have the strobe effect, but had an awful hum when dimmed even though I was using an "approved" dimmer. The light was also an ugly yellow. So, I tried another LED light this time it was 2200K temp and clear - and the color was great, but it had a 60Hz strobe flicker as well. So ... I tried a fourth LED light just hoping I could get this to work before giving up, and although it claimed it was dimmable it would flicker oddly when dimmed to a low setting. So, giving up on the whole LED experiment I went back to trying to find some edison bulbs that would be bright like the regular incandescent bulbs that don't have all these issues. Well, these bulbs are great! These bulbs aren't as bright as a standard 40W incandescent, but they are close, and the color is great. Dim them and they glow like edison bulbs, crank them up and they are good enough for task lighting. I am now purchasing 3 more packs to put in other fixtures in the house.

I am very impressed with these bulbs and am happy with my purchase. I was having trouble finding a nice product that could operate on a two-stage security lamps on our home; I wanted something that looked elegant, was able to provide a soft light on the dimmed stage, and bright enough to illuminate the driveway, porch and surrounding area when the motion sensor was tripped.I was initially worried about the projected life of the bulb (3,000 hours), so I purchased the 6-pack in September 2016. I'm still on the first two bulbs -- these have worked flawlessly from dusk to dawn for nearly two years.
