Excellent!
Brings a social change perspective to the work of nonprofit capacity building. The stories of practitioners offer thoughtful and even poignant perspectives. The practical resources provided are a value-added.

I purchased this for a class in college and only used it once in a while. This is one of my favorite topics to learn about and it helps you look at your own cultural awareness and how that fits into the greater society. I still have this book on my book shelf because I know it's always going to come in handy.

I attended a workshop ran by Beth Applegate this week. I was DREADING it, I have no respect for the idea that creativity can be pounded out of you in an orderly fashion and in a specific short time period. She proved me wrong and I'm now a believer, I saw and felt the results and I'm amazed. It was HER though and her own communication skills that were just as important or even more important as the technique.

Used in workshop and was great!
I used this for a workshop I facilitated with Public Secotor folks over 3 different days book club style and it was greatly recieved. This is a wonderful resource even beyond the nonprofit sector.
