It Does Work
I used the smaller, blue CreaClip to cut my shoulder-length hair (2b waves) into an angled bob. (Well, technically, my husband did the levelling and cutting.) It worked surprisingly well; I have had way worse haircuts done in salons by professional stylists, for way more money than this thing cost. The whole process took about five minutes to complete (he cut using clippers, following the bottom edge of the clip.)I am not sure that I will ever go back to the salon.

Good idea, bad execution. Overpriced.
I liked the idea, as I cut my own chin length hair. But this thing is such junk. Let me just list the cons quickly:1. The adjustable level is not tightly in place, and the slightest brush of your fingers can move it out of place.2. One side of the clip is a little warped, so the clip is not holding my hair as tightly and securely as it should be. It slides out of place sometimes. My hair is not thin by any means.3. The level itself is TINY, I can’t see the bubble at all, no matter how close to the mirror I get. They should have made it as big as possible!4. The liquid in the level is CLEAR, adding to the difficulty of seeing the bubble. They should have used a color.5. The lines you want to get the bubble in between are super thin and white against the clear liquid, making them externally hard to see as well.6. For some reason, it can be hard to get the bubble to move, it gets stuck on the ends, and takes some shaking and extreme tilting to get it to move.I have 0 pros.I hate it. They could have done a better job, especially for what they’re charging for it. This is robbery.

So Easy To Use!!
I recently got bangs and my hair grows super fast so I needed a trim pretty bad! I new if I just picked up a pair of scissors and cut away then it’d probably be a disaster. So this creaclip device was a life saver. Sooo easy to use and I was actually happier with the bangs I trimmed myself than when I left the salon after first getting them cut!

Works as advertised. Fine/thin hair can be tricky.
I purchased this smaller version rather than the combo because I have fine, thin hair and the reviews indicated that it falls out of fine/thin hair (it can and does). The combo has a larger one that looks to be about 10-12 inches in length, plus this one that's about 6 inches in length.I used this smaller version to do an a-line bob. It worked just fine. Some of the finer/thinner hairs along my temples sort of came out, but it did not detract from the end result and were easy to trim/blend in. I had to have my husband cut it because I couldn't cut it properly behind my head. Not a big deal.Bottom line, it works as advertised. I recommend that anyone purchasing this take the time to watch the "how-to" videos before committing to a final cut.Con #1: it's a little expensive for the simplicity of it. I suppose if you use it, the return on investment is well worth it by saving you $$ on professional hair cuts.Con #2: it can be tricky for fine, thin hair. As discussed above, the finer hairs from my temples wouldn't stay in it. I considered spraying it with hairspray or similar to make it grippy but didn't want to gum it up. If I had any suggestion to the manufacturer: re-design to improve it for fine, thin hair. Not all of us have luxurious manes that fill the combs of this device.
