I needed a new router to boost my weakening signal at home; looking for the latest technology, I found this Rock Space one, and took the plunge.As most people will know, if you are replacing your provider's router, you'll need to get a modem as well; two years ago when I did just that, I didn't realise this, but this time around the modem is here and ready to connect up. I believe you can get around this by keeping your original router and connecting it to this new one, but who really wants two routers; and to be honest it really isn't that straight forward; so use a modem connection.This new router can be set up independently by using the Pin/Password on the bottom of the device.This router has four antennas which can be moved forwards and sideways, I assume to pick up the best signal; a 'Lego' look top; four Ethernet ports and a USB port. The manual which accompanies he router is easy enough to follow, or just check out YouTube for clear instructions of how to connect up. To avoid having to change settings on all my wireless devices I can connect to my current router and transfer the data across; worked fine.All connected up and ready to check my signal; Wow, what a difference; TV's, laptop, tablets, PC's instant increase in speed and no more buffering on the BBC iPlayer, which had been a problem for some time.I do have a fibre connection but was getting no where near the speeds I should have been getting before connecting to this new router.The router comes with a mobile app. which can be useful for changing any of the setting; I have downloaded it, and all I can say is it is well set out; I must be using the default settings as I haven't actually used it.This is a really excellent router; the best I have ever used and well worth the money; I would certain recommend giving it a try if you are, like I was, suffering from a weaker signal.

I am looking for a solution for a wifi extender with multiple LAN ports. I've read the ad and the great reviews. I decided to buy it. After using it, I was disappointed because the device did not have the function of receiving wifi waves as advertised. I contacted the employee and he confirmed that this device does not have that function. Currently, the staff has not edited the correct information. I hope someone will read my post and correct it in time.

I have a virgin media broadband and the wireless was crazy bad in terms of wireless range if I was 5 meters from the router would drop the connection, a friend told me to buy something like this modem and the range increased like I had never seen, I am using it with the internet cable from the virgin media router to this modem in the WAN port , I could have did it without the cable but the internet speed was afftected too much, anyone that has a virgin media broadband should buy this modem in my opinion if they want amazing wifi coverage and is very easy to set up.

Very powerful Wifi signal! I bought this to attach to my standard Plusnet modem/router, which doesn't have much of a signal. It was very simple to set up, the instructions are easy to follow.I tested the Wifi speed of this Rockspace router against the Plusnet Wifi signal using a Speedtest App on my smart phone. The first 2 screenshots show the speed difference in the same room as the routers. The third and fourth screenshots are taken in the garden, which is about 15 metres away through 2 brick walls and a glass door.This Rockspace router provides a significantly quicker Bit rate for both downloads and uploads!(Note: this is just a router, it still needs the modem in the my Plusnet unit for the internet connection. You connect the Rockspace router to your current modem with the supplied ethernet cable.)(Not sure what to make of the Lego top, not a feature I'm using... !)Excellent router, recommended.

If you are looking for a simple way to manage parental controls THIS ISN’T IT. This “feature” is poorly developed only giving the option to close off the internet for one period in the day. You can lock off internet globally on the router but this appears to only happen at midnight. Not a great feature, let down as this was high on their marketing. Will be returning

I live in a 3 storey town house signal blocker and this has helped me and my family of 6 out loads, 4 kids have alot of friends and this has nailed it, thank you.Edit 4th sept, the box is stuck in a loop reload, nothing has changed but the box just drops constantly.

I bought this because my NowTV/Sky router has awful WiFi signal. This isn’t the latest or greatest piece of kit but it solved the issue perfectly and I now have full signal all through the house. Took about 5 minutes to set up, which you can do via an app, all really easy, then just plug the cable that comes with it from your main router and into this. I also switched the WiFi signal off from the NowTV router so there’s no interference. Job done.

Not using this as a router as it doesn’t have an internal modem, so am using it as a Ethernet connected Wi-Fi extender to the other half of my house and works great, no signal loss from my main router
