2 little girls (teenagers now) loved this doll and still do. The youngest, who is 12 now, lost 2 of these when she was little and was super sad. Guess who wanted another for Xmas this year? Guess what we got her? ;)If you have a newborn girl, get this. There is no doubt it will be a favorite -- maybe THE favorite -- for years. From experience, I highly recommend you get 2 for when the first dolly disappears. You'll be glad for the backup! Absolute worst case, your spare will make a great gift for another little girl of family or friends.Final word of advice: EVERY little girl needs this dolly and a "woobie" (soft, little fleece blanket) when growing up. Nap and bedtime -- and storms or other scary times -- are set!

I see so many reviewers saying that their daughters or themselves have had this dolly since birth & are now in their 20’s. I just had to post a review of the same! Although, this “dolly” is washable and can be tossed in the dryer, we have replaced multiple from just being worn out over the course of many years. I am so glad that the original version is still available! I will gladly purchase one every few years, as dolly has been part of my daughters life from when she was just a small child, and still snuggles it with her pillow at 24!

I cannot say enough how thrilled I was to find this cute, squishy doll on amazon. When my daughter, who is now nearly 24 years old, was a baby, this was the first doll she received. She absolutely loved rubbing her little fingers on all the silky parts of the doll and holding the soft doll close to her. My daughter literally wore out a handful of these before she finally outgrew them.Then in March, my daughter gave birth to her first child, a daughter, our first grandchild. I cannot describe enough as to how excited I was to find these precious dolls. So now I am passing this onto my dear granddaughter.I would highly recommend this doll as it is completely safe for babies with no items that can be pulled off - buttons for eyes or any such thing. The doll can be cleaned in a washer and drier. It's soft body and silky areas are a huge comfort to babies and small children. 5 Stars all the way!

I received one of these dolls as an infant in the 1980s and it became my favorite. The three from my childhood (my mom bought a few extras when she realized how much I couldn't live without mine) are in rough shape. The fabric gets dirty, it wears away in places, it develops holes. They've been washed and sewed to within an inch of their life. It's a testament to how snuggly and lovey this doll is for any child. I was so happy to find out they still make them though and they look exactly the same!

We get one for every new parent we know who has a girl. One (who now has her own girl, with her own So-Soft doll) went through a succession of them: she had to have it and her mom bought her a new one as she wore out the old. Mom kept them all, neatly placed in baggies, their condition less a critique of their sturdiness than an exhibit of the toll kids put on their toys.Keep having girls, friends: we'll keep buying these.
