Disappointed. I actually really liked this until it broke after 2 months. Fit on the vent well. Held the phone well. Charged ok. But it means nothing if it breaks. Bolt that holds this thing together is about 2 mm thick.Edit. The company reached out to me to offer a free replacement which was nice but as it was dependent on deleting my review I told them I was not interested. Amazon needs to stop this practice. Can’t trust reviews if this is happening.

Works perfectly with my Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max in an Apple MagSafe silicone case. Nice firm attachment. The charging function starts right up with a 10 watt or 18 watt USB power supply. No power supply is included with the Hatalkin.The overall build quality is very impressive. I ended up using my existing vent mount but the included mount is compact and attaches firmly.For laughs I tried my wife's Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max in its OtterBox Defender (not MagSafe) case and there is absolutely no attraction between the phone and the Hatalkin (as you should expect). However, if you put the Hatalkin face down on a metal surface you can feel some pretty powerful magnetic attraction (I tried it on our cloths washer).You will need a second cable to the phone for Airplay (or wireless Airplay) to use the charging function at the same time as Airplay.This is a great product.

Alright so I had the Belkin mount for about 1 month, and I hated it... Mostly because the actual mounting sucked. It barely clips onto the vents because the prongs were not long enough, so the entire thing almost always fell when I made a sharp turn. Now the magnet itself was great, my phone never fell off the actual pad (I have a 12 pro max with an apple silicone case), but the entire thing mount, with my phone clipped on, kept falling. Also another thing I did not like about the Belkin was that it stuck out a lot. Like wayyy too much, I like my phone more flush with my actual vent. And of course the last grievance, it did not charge...Now, coming to this one, I LOVE it so far. It basically deals with all the 3 issues I listed above. The mechanism to mount on the vents is an actual clip. So it like attaches through my vent blades, and clips onto it. It is GREAT, I have tried pulling it off, it doesnt come off and it is incredibly sturdy. As for the magnet, it is great, on par with the Belkin, have not had any issues at all. Also this mount does not stick out as much like the Belkin, it is more flush with my vent. And it charges, which is of course amazing.So few things with this vent that you should probably know. The ball is not as strong as the Belkin. With my 12 pro max and apple silicon case, it basically droops down all the way. This is fine for me personally, because that is how I want it. But just know, that if you have the pro max and want it to stay upright, it probably wont work. Another thing is the charger port is not the best, I have to sometimes wiggle it around to get the charging to work. Not a huge deal, it always works after I play around with the wire.Would highly recommend this for anyone that is unsatisfied with the Belkin mount!

I had tried a few different holds for my F450 Super Duty but nothing held or it was difficult to use or remove the phone. When I got my iPhone 12 I decided to try this. It holds the phone perfectly even with my rough riding truck. I have had it for about 6 weeks now and it has never moved. I use the standard truck USB charge port to keep wires to a minimum but I did try the 15 watt charger connected to an inverted plug and it did give the high speed charging circle on screen. The slower charging on the vehicle ports is good enough so I will use it that way for now.

I've tried a few car mounts, but they were either not magnetic enough, or were charging poorly. This one holds the phone over any bumps and charges quick, the phone recognizes magsafe speed charge and shows the green circle similar to OEM magsafe charging.Overall i'd recommend this for people who like their car storage organized. I used this charger with my existing windshield mounting (ball is universal), and it works and look great!

As far as vent-mounts go, this is pretty great. I have the Apple clear magsafe case for my iPhone 12 mini, and it holds it very securely. Some people in the reviews have complained that it doesn't hold securely to the vent, but I was able to get it to secure just fine by using the tightening knob. It still suffers from the same issues as all vent mounts, in that the weight when a phone is attached can drag the vent downwards when that is not desired. But I do like that its a bit further away from the vent so that its not blocking it as much, or taking too much heat or too much cold. I also like how you can tilt it to face you, so the faceID can work if necessary without taking it off (DO NOT DRIVE WHILE OPERATING A PHONE).My main con for this is that the charging cable does not go all the way in. It charges just fine, but it does not appear to be securely inserted.

So happy this was available for my new phone. I am an avid magnet/vent clip user when I travel and I was missing something like this. The surface charger secures nicely with my mag-case and, while it is not truly "wireless", connecting the charging cord allows you to charge the phone while still being able to take it on and off when needed. Great product. My only thought is that these types of chargers will eventually cost less but I could not wait.

Stop searching. This is it! I have tried cheaper ones and they fall off on the first bump. This one stayed on no matter what bumps I went over. You must get the magnetic case first. I also have a removable magnetic pop socket! So I pop off the pop socket and put it on this gadget, pull up maps and away I go. And bonus it charges your phone fast! You won’t regret it!

I’m seriously impressed with this product. The magnet is very strong and holds the phone well (I bought this in conjunction with a £16 clear silicone mag safe case from Amazon). Charges really well and clips nicely to my air vents. The fitting on the back of the charger means you can swivel the phone to the angle needed.

The media could not be loaded.  Well built and holds the phone securely.The vent mount is easy to use and you just need to take a little time to find the perfect spot but holds securely. The magnets are as strong as that of Apple’s MagSafe charger and phone is held securely.To get the full 15w charging you need to have a QC 3.0 charger as I did and you will see the MagSafe charging icon (as shown in the pic).Very slim and the black model blends into the interior for me so was inconspicuous and not easily seen from the outside so looks almost like it’s part of the cars original dashboard.It doesn’t come with a charger so ensure you buy a QC 3.0 model to get the full charging power out of it.Works brilliantly and highly recommend. Better than the Belkin MagSafe car holder which is £30 for just the holder and doesn’t even charge the phone.

The major let down with this is the clip for the air vent is too long, the weight of the phone pulls it off the vent, I have adapted mine by taking off the fitting on the rear and replaced with a magnetic disc to go on a magnetic vent clip, the magnet for the phone is strong let down by fitting supplied.

I am sure you’ve already seen some of the other reviews. I wanted to add something that you’re gonna like - the charging logo DOES appear if you a proper power adaptor, one with PD 2 over USB-C port that can deliver 18W or more. So instead of using the provided USB cable use USB-C to USB-C. Very happy! I am a driver and I use this charger 10hrs/day

Overall a great charger. The clip that attaches itself to the air vents in your car is great for most cars, but might not be as good in a Peugeot 108 or some of the Fords around ~2015
