Well-made, looks like it'll last a long time. The stitching and zipper are heavy and strong. The leather is thick yet reasonably supple. I stuffed it with leftover carpet underpad that I tore into small pieces. Needed to air it out for several weeks before stuffing it though.

So the only negative is that yes, this does stink at first, just out of the box. Smells terrible actually but as others have mentioned it does go away and leaves a solid 5 star product behind. So, what I ended up doing was leaving it out on our covered porch for a few days, when it was still stinky at that point I read some tips online and sprinkled baking soda inside of it then closed the pouf and the box of baking soda in a large box for a couple more days. Then I took it out, shook all the baking soda out and let it further sit out in the sun for a couple of days. When I brought it in and stuffed it (took about 5 lbs. of fluff) it still smelled a little bit, especially on humid days but it was faint at that point. After a week or two of being inside the smell was gone and this is perfect as a footstool. Others have mentioned this just smells like leather but be aware, it is goat leather and smells way different than the leather you might be used to. If it sounds like an ordeal it's really not, just takes some time. I'm ordering another as a Christmas gift and will just open it and leave it to air out until it's time to gift it.The leather is soft and pretty, it is sturdy enough for my 5 year old grand-daughter to stand on and light enough to easily pick up or move around. It is just what I envisioned and I'm loving it.***Editing to update. I ordered the second one to give as a gift and was pleasantly surprised that it barely smelled at all and no elaborate airing out process was needed. Apparently this is an occasional problem only, I assume it depends on how "fresh" the leather is before it gets shipped to you.

One satisfied customer here. I ordered two of the tan leather Moroccan poufs with beige stitching. They are exactly what you see in the pictures. The craftsmanship is amazing. They did have a smell after first opening the packaging that was not super strong or horrible. It was just enough that I wanted them to air out before stuffing. So I put them in the garage for two days. Now they have a light leather smell but only when I put my nose up to them. They have a few subtle imperfections but not enough to deduct a star. Besides, they are handmade and I think that gives character. As another reviewer noted, the bottom of one has some discoloration, but it doesn’t bother me since it will not be seen anyway. And I think it’s a wise use of not-so-perfect leather. As for stuffing, I used 10 lbs. of Poly-fil in each. I bought a 20-lb. box (also on Amazon) that included two 10-lb. bags, which made it easy to use equal amounts between two poufs. One picture shows just how much 10 lbs. looks like. And believe it not, it all fit — every bit! It did require some serious stuffing and I even busted a little sweat. LOL. I had collected old towels, sheets, and thin blankets to add for weight but was unnecessary as the compacted Poly-fil worked perfectly. The poufs are full and have just the right amount of weight to make them substantial and stable yet light enough to move around with ease. I am very happy with how they turned out. Not only do they add a little style and fun to my living room, but they are also practical and functional. We use them for propping our feet up while watching a movie and leaning on when sitting on the floor. Love! Love! Love!

I am in love with these! I let them air out for a few days from the natural leather smell. They're beautifully hand crafted with gorgeous tints all around. The zippers are high quality too. I took a suggestion from another review and filled each with 10lbs of poly fiber fill and they are perfect. 😍
