The Ash Dragon Ember Rake is a handy hearth tool on its own but is also the perfect companion accessory to the popular Ash Dragon Dustless Ash Scoop. Designed with the same attractive lines and wooden handle as the Ash Dragon, the Ember Rake will be a handsome addition to your hearth. Features a scraper on one side and large, 1.5" rake tines on the other side for easy separation of the embers from the ash bed. Assembled length is 12" assuring easy reach to the back of the stove. When you need to remove ashes from your stove, there will always be hot coals among the ashes and the rake is used to separate and gather the larger hot embers from the ash. You simply rake the bed of ashes working from one side to the other, placing the coals on one side, and leaving the ash on the other side. Once the coals are separated from the ash, the Ash Dragon does its work, dustlessly removing the remaining ash.

Solid, well built tool
"Some assembly required". Two screws, very simple to assemble despite lack of directions; the handle goes on best one of two possible ways.This is a solid item made from heavy steel, it won't flex or fall apart. It's difficult to find a good ash rake that works in the smaller space afforded by some high-efficiency fireplace inserts and this definitely fits the bill for moving piles of ash towards the back and hot coals forward to allow for adding more logs, which is a must if you're inclined to use the top-down fire method (and, you should be!).
