Pure Cider Jelly (10 ounce)

I grew up with this product in Massachusetts. It's wonderful to have it again in my pantry in California.Apples contain a lot of natural pectin, so cider jelly is really only one ingredient: Apple cider. Similar to maple syrup, apple cider jelly is produced by boiling cider down until it's thick and concentrated. This is a much more tangy jelly than what you may have experienced in the past -- not bitter, just sweet tart like a good red currant jelly.It's great served alongside pork chops, or added to gravy, or smeared on a bagel with cream cheese, but I particularly like cider jelly served alongside very sharp cheddar cheese. A fantastic product. Yum.

We used to get this stuff at a food coop when we lived in New England. We have been unable to find it anywhere where we live now, even as a special order from our health food store. It has an amazingly powerful flavor and is made only from boiling down apple cider thus it's kind of expensive but it is well worth it. It is delicious!

As soon as I saw this I yelped w pleasure. It's one of my family faves. Made from cider it's so flavorful. I bought 3 to stock up. I wish I'd purchased more, as I gave one to my dad...he's worth it:) It's tangy, not too sweet, and all natural. We put it on my husbands popovers..a bit of heaven. No artificial junk. Just like jelly should be.
