I bought one a few months ago and loved it. Looks good and grows well. Fun to have. Decided to get another and although they look almost exactly alike the version I just received is not as nice. The first one does make a gentle, almost pleasant noise when the fan/pump cycle comes on and the second one is so noisy that it is unacceptable. It is notable that the cord to the fan/pump is a little heavier gauge on the noisy one so it must be receiving more power. Very irritating.Also the first one I received has much deeper basket and seed sponge which reaches the water better.I'm not sure which one is the newer version so I can't say which one you will receive but it may explain why some reviews find it noisy and some say it is quiet.I will have to return the noisy one since it annoying in our quiet house. If you have a lot of background noise in your house you may not be affected by it.Be aware they do not supply seeds which is fine with me. How are they supposed to know what I want to grow? Seeds are cheap to buy.UPDATE: The manufacturer of this item contacted me and offered to send me a new light hood that operates the fan. I have never had that kind of service from an Amazon supplier and was so impressed by that support that I am raising my stars to 5. It is still a little noisy so I just moved it to a different room. I currently have three tomato starts and Buttercrunch lettuce. It is fun to watch these things grow.

Edit to my initial review: I was contacted by the manufacturer, and they promised to deliver the missing items. I was skeptical, however, I did receive the missing nutrients in the mail. In addition, I received some additional items that can be used for the next round of seed growing. Impressive customer service. As to the seedlings, they are growing happily. Thank you This is a decent growing system. However, imagine my disappointment when I found out that the nutrients were not included. Really? Just add the nutrients or indicate clearly that it needs to be purchased separately, just like the seeds. Make it clear that this is not a complete order. Imagine trying to gift it to someone. Frustrating!

PLEASE READ TO END: This system isn't really suited for a person who is looking to just get started with hydroponics. It comes with baskets, pods, but no nutrient solution or seed kits to get started.I've been growing hydroponic plants for over 3 years now and have accumulated a lot of extra seeds, grow pods, and bulk nutrient solution, so I was able to set up the garden right away. That being said, for an experienced gardener, it offers the ability to either grow more plants or allow a little more space between them. Also, the built in fan and ability to raise the light 14" above the deck are nice features. On the downside, there isn't any reminder to change water/add nutrients, and aerator is kind of noisy. Overall, its a pretty nice set-up, but beginners will need to make a little extra investment to get it up and running. And regardless, you'll need to stay on top of things to monitor water levels and nutrient additions. This is not an Aerogarden... UPDATE: After about 6 months, the fan on the hood started to cease up. I had registered my product for a warranty(no charge) so I contacted the seller. They were very prompt to respond and agreed to send out a new hood free of charge. Good customer service if you have any issues!

Waited a while to write this review because I wanted to see if I could really keep something alive inside the house. I’ve never really been a good gardener and wasn’t sure if this was a viable option for me. But after several months, I’ve been able to grow so many things. Herbs for my kitchen, different varieties of lettuce for our salads, and other offerings from their company. I’ve even branched off and bought my own seeds which I’ve germinated and added to the garden. It’s been a learning experience which has been quite fun! Grown your own food inside!

Excellent quality! Good durable materials and no tools are required for the installation. This is a Great growing system for indoor plants and you can harvest vegetables/fruits and flowers all year round! The lights and fan work up to standard with the luxury of the water reservoir having to be occasionally topped off. The Only con is that this product doesn’t come equipped with a germination dome. However, The last version of this system did. Besides that this is a great indoor growing system for beginners or any gardener!

I’ve previously try products like this and was quite disappointed, until I bumped into this brand. I found this item super easy to setup, no complications at all, didn’t even need look at the manual to know where things were supposed to go, very easy to use, each button is touch sensitive and labeled for the consumer, which makes it even easier to work with. The manual that’s included has a variety of information regarding the use of each accessory and ways to make your growth more effective, and some helpful tips as well, for those starting indoor growing. I believe package includes everything is need it, and even extra germinating container and sponges. Lighting is powerful enough, and with full extended post, the light spread angle allows you to placed the extra germinating container right next to it, which would benefit those interested on growing more then what it fits on the growing system. Something to keep in mind, this system is merely to get big plants going, like tomato, Chamomile, Lavender and garden plants, nothing higher than 10” or 5-6” radio. In my opinion will be best to keep small herbs like Parsley, mint, basil, rosemary, cilantro, culantro, thyme etc, because they get use very often and could be kept trimmed easily and have small roots, as well as succulent and high water consumption plants. Overall, this is definitely a product I would recommend and even gift to anyone looking to grow indoor herbs or decorations plants.Ps: I personally added two cable clips behind the post for cable management, makes the setup look very clean. They were not included.

Item was bought as a gift.

After 2 years of continuous use it works fantastic . Last month the fan quit, I figured no problem I will get a hold of them for a new fan. We that's like sending a message to a brick wall. Not a peep back from them at all. Turns out after testing the fan it is the control board that is the problem not the fan. So if something goes wrong good luck with getting a reply from them.
