Are you an ARS lover?
This book is so detailed, yet the writing style is not boring or over- factual. Any ARS fan will love this page-turner.

A good over all read!!
A must for ARS fans!! About the only criticism I have is that in a few instances the author's use of grammar & punctuation was a little bit awkward. But...... That's splitting hairs & is essentially a non-issue.

Worth the Read
Very informative, I loved this band. Started to lose interest once the book progressed to the "new" members. Bands are never the same once the original members leave. Zeppelin kind of got it right when they disbanded after Bonham's death.

Excellent, thorough & well written.
As a long time fan of the band, this book shines a spotlight on an under rated band. The author provides quotes from a variety of friends, family, associates and fellow musicians. I found this to be enlightening as members of Kansas, the Kentucky Headhunters, Tinsley Ellis & Lynyrd Skynyrd all pay their respects to the band. It’s obvious that the band was held in high regard by their peers. The author does a thorough job of covering the lengthy history and, for me, the level of detail at approximately 250 pages is just right. In addition, I’ve recently read two books with frequent typos and grammatical errors, in this work I only noted a couple of these issues so kudos to the author and editors for getting this out in excellent fashion.

A complete and thorough ARS biography
The author, Willie Moseley, has given us a true and complete history of one of the most talented and productive bands, both good and bad, in the rock genre. From pre-ARS years and experiences to the band's later, less productive times,Mr. Moseley tells us where and how they began and elaborates on ARS' growth and success over a 40 year period. Though I never saw them perform, one gets a great picture of what went into their performances and their personalities over their active years. I personally have many of their releases on vinyl, which reflects somewhat on how long I have been one of their fans. Through this book, I have also picked up on later releases on cd that I was not familiar with, broadening my appreciation of this great band. In particular, though I am not necessarily reviewing their releases, the disc "Eufaula" is one that came out in later years that reflects some of their best work, though I have seen reviews suggesting the opposite (with which I disagree). Without mention and detail in this book, I would not have known of this particular cd. It is obvious that Mr. Moseley has spent a great deal of time both researching and witnessing ARS, and this book is a must-have for anyone who has followed what some have called a southern rock band, though their music reaches much farther than the south. I highly recommend it especially for ARS fans, young and old!
