Northfield Sportswear Men's All-Season Full-Zip Softshell Jacket (with Hood) (XL, Navy)

This jacket is the perfect size. A Large would have been too small as this jacket is true to fit. It makes me look slimmer. I love that this is a all-season jacket light for a Fall evening and perfect for a southern Winter day. The lenght of the jacket is long enough to cover my behind just incase I need to bend over and not feel the breeze. Great quality fabric and great buy for the money.

I bought this jacket for a move from South Florida to Seattle, Washington. I get off the plane, put on the jacket and the zipper broke into pieces. I may return it, or take it to a tailor...

This jacket is nicer in person than it appears online. The fabric is very soft both inside and out, and is wonderfully water resistant (see my video where I run water over the outside of the jacket). The stitching is even, consistent, regularly spaced, and detailed. There is a hood that snaps off so you're not carrying extra weight with you if you don't need it. The cuffs have velcro tabs that can be tightened to keep the rain or wind out. There are drawstrings at the hood and bottom edge. The bottom edge falls at the mid to lower hip area for good coverage. I ordered a size XL for my husband, at his instruction. I should have gone with my gut and ordered an XXL as he is borderline XXL. So, if you're unsure of which size to order, order up so there's room for clothing to be comfortably worn underneath. I ordered the navy jacket, but I'd call it more of a midnight blue. It's a very dark navy, and it looks sharp.I received this item for nearly free so I could evaluate it and give my honest, unbiased, opinion.

My husband and I both love this jacket. I ordered an extra large and it fit my husband perfectly, so it was exactly the size we expected. It is very well made with good stitching and actually looks very high-end. My husband especially likes that it has a removable hood, since he doesn't wear a hood very often, if at all. However, since I sometimes grab one of his jackets to wear over my bulky sweaters, I will use the hood whenever I grab this jacket. It appears to be water-resistant on the outside; it also has a good lining on the inside. My husband likes the zippered pockets on the front, as well as the inside pockets on both sides. The zipper also appears to be quality made. I received a sample of this product at a discount for my honest unbiased review.

This Northfield sportswear jacket is listed as All-Season. However since I live in Wisconsin, I would not wear this in the winter as it gets bitter cold. So it really depends on where you live. The outer shell is nice as it repels water. The interior is fleece lined to keep you warm. The zippers work great and are located on the outside and the pockets. I like the cuffs as they have an adjustable Velcro wristbands so if you wear gloves you can secure them tightly to keep out the cold. There is also a hoodie with drawstrings. I like that they also incorporated the lock clips to secure it closed. The hoodie can be removed if you don't like it.I received this jacket in exchange for my honest review and opinion.

I received a sample of this Jacket in exchange for an honest review. I have owned a "Northfield" 'water-repellant' windbreaker for several years and really like it. Although it does not have a lining, it seldom gets cold enough on the 'Left Coast' of Florida ... even during the winter. When the opportunity came to get a free jacket like this one (with a 'light' lining) I was happy to be able to take advantage of it. This model is also 'over-the-hip' and its styling is very similar to my original windbreaker ... but with additional warmth for the colder days. I also like the 'high collar' ans hood. Now I am fully prepared for just simply 'cooler' weather; with my Northfield windbreaker ... or "icy' weather with my lines jacket. At only $36 ... it is a very good value.

Seems a well made product, good zipper, nice material. The fit is a little tight. I would order one size larger next time, especially if you are into layering. The hood has little adjustment to shape it to your requirements. It is best for a cool/wet day with a thin shirt underneath.
