Q: does this spreader have directional broadcast or does it just come out front, side, or both ?

It comes out the front of spreader. All you have to do is turn spreader in direction your wanting to spread seed. You’ll love it. Easy to use

Q: What are the 2 white panels included for? How do they attach?

They are intended to be used to hold the bag upright for loading and install in essentially the front and back of the bag attaching to the hard plastic bottom spreader piece. There is a crease in them and they have to be folded over at this crease for installation. They attach with screws through the small holes on the pieces, these screws are likely already installed in the spreader bottom piece, back the screws out and then re-install through the described hole in the small white pieces.
