Morveau Casual Jetsetter Reclaimed Airplane Aluminum Minimalist Men Watches - Stainless Steel Mesh Band

The watch is very nice. It could use one smaller hole in the band to fit a woman's slender wrist (yes, it is a common fashion statement for women to wear oversized men's watches). There was no literature inside the box- no warranty , no statement regarding the claims made here that the crystal is sapphire, that the movement is Swiss, or even that it is made from refurbished aircraft aluminum. The only statement in writing is that the watch is "made in China." So I am a little disappointed about that. I wrote to the company regarding all that and received a reply that asked me "where did I see those claims?"Oh and the blue hands don't stand out like they do in the picture. My wife says she wants to keep it.UPDATE: This is not the same watch that is sold on their website.Their website says:" Quality: When designing (and then ultimately building) the watch we spared no expense. Only the finest parts should be used. This is why we insisted on the top of the line aircraft grade aluminum. That’s why there’s a Swiss movement inside the watch instead of a far cheaper Japanese movement." This watch on Amazon comes with the the "far cheaper Japanese movement."Update: Less than a year later the back has fallen off and the watch has stopped working. Maybe it just needs a new battery. Will update. Still a very stylish watch that looks expensive.

So far OKAY. It looks good on my wrist. The blue hands barely look blue. You have to get the watch tilted just so to get a little blue to appear.Otherwise the hands look black. So much for the Casual part.If you have a large wrist, Be prepared to order a wrist band from a different manufacturer. I have to tuck the end of the Band under the two metal loops at least once an hour. I am on the last hole to get it to fit without cutting off circulation.I can't address the durability or reliability as I have only had for a week. I am somewhat concerned about replacing the battery as I can't tell how the back comes off. It looks as if it is pressed on.I want very much too like this watch. The story is what drew me in.We will see!! Oh yeah, The packaging was atrocious! Small box rattling around inside a bigger box with no packing material. None! Nada! Ziltch!

The media could not be loaded.  I initially saw the Moreau watch when it launched on the Indiegogo crowdfunding site summer 2015. I immediately loved the watch because it was made out of aircraft grade aluminum. I am a big Apple fan boy and I knew that the Morveau watch would look great alongside my MacBook Pro and iPhone as well. Needless to say I backed it and it sure did not disappoint when I received it.The Casual Jetsetter is the variation that I bought and am very happy with it. I love the name of this variation as it describes my lifestyle as a digital nomad. Ever since I have received my Morveau watch, I have worn it to travel across Thailand and China. I have attached pictures and a video below as proof!If you are looking for a nice minimalistic and unique minimalistic time piece, I would highly recommend buying this one.

The watch looked better in person than it did in the pictures. Mine came with the aluminum band and I ordered the leather band which came with blue stitching which matches the color of the hands and looks very classy. When I ordered the extra leather band the price for some reason was only $1.00 which was a nice surprise. I set the time to the NIST official time and a week later checked it and it has kept perfect time to the second. Very pleased thus far!

I purchased this as a tenth anniversary gift for my husband. While I have not yet presented him with the watch (or anniversary is still a couple of months away), I am confident that he will love it as much as I do. The design is sleek and sophisticated, and the fact it is made from reclaimed airplane aluminum makes is a very interesting piece. I'm looking forward to gifting this watch to my husband.

I like everything about this watch, from the clean, minimalist design to it's construction. While it's very affordable, there's nothing cheap about it. It's a solidly built timepiece. Everything that went into this watch was carefully thought through and it shows. The bead blasted recycled aircraft aluminum case, sapphire crystal and stainless steel mesh band are first rate. It looks great and it's very comfortable to wear. A great watch at a great price.

This elegant watch has a retro look and functions only to tell time. The changeable wrist band Is a nice option. Morveau is a young, start up company that seeks to produce a quality product. The creator of the watch, Luke Francis, stands by his product, and if you email him like I did, he responds right away. I hope one day he produces a smaller women's version...
