Sleek, light weight.

Couldn’t be happier with this product!!After learning about the devastating effects of plastic pollution and thinking about my own plastic footprint, I decided to reduce my plastic use-the number of containers, plastic wrap for leftover food at home, and other products I use. That’s when I discovered Brooklyn Bento’s new clean product, stainless steel bowls with silicone covers. It’s a four piece set with lids made from 100% LFGB certified silicone which means it’s safe for human use when in contact with food. I did a little digging and read that silicone products sold in Germany and France must meet ‘LFGB’ regulations which are tougher than U.S standards. Way to go Brooklyn Bento!I store my leftovers in these containers in my fridge which allows me to eliminate aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and zip lock bags. An added bonus is the containers are leakproof and the largest one is great for storing leftover soup. Plastic tends to harbor more bacteria, while stainless steel is more resistant to harmful gunk. I even use these containers when I get take-out food or want to take home leftovers from a restaurant meal. I just ask the waiter to use my stainless steel container instead of their disposable one!
