We ordered the colorful blanket shown in the photo but received a BLACK blanket. What a disappointment!! Totally black. No color at all!!

This is a parachute. It does a great job of not absorbing water, not holding sand, and can be collapsed into the bag. But if you're lying it down on hot sand, it's going to feel like you're lying directly on the sand. It will do nothing to protect you from the heat. It truly just looks like flimsy parachute material. I took to Kauai and it worked great, but I couldn't handle the heat coming from the sand so still had to lie on a towel anyway.And for crying out loud....these people who are angry because it's not "sand proof"....THAT DOESN'T MEAN THE SAND JUMPS OFF THE BLANKET! It's not like because it's sand proof that sand can't get on it! SMH. It just means that sand doesn't stick to it or get stuck in it like it does a towel or blanket. Did ya'll think that if you walked onto it with sandy feet the sand would jump back off into the sand because there is some magical protective layer on it? Some people's children.

I purchased a blue Eccosophy Beach Blanket to use on picnics at local parks, outdoor concerts and of course to the beach. The blanket is of excellent material (parachute material) along with robust all-around triple stitching. It performed superbly at the beach by keeping us clean and the blanket itself does not adhere to any debris on any surface. A few light shakes and debris just fall right off. The added bonuses were its’ size measuring at 9’x10’, it’s lightweight, and super smooth/stays cool to the touch.The blanket has four (4) durable stake loops at each corner and it includes four (4) sturdy nylon stakes measuring approximately 5.75” in length which came in handle when unsuspected winds kicked up. The blanket also has a durable zippered pouch sewn in the middle of one edge and it’s big enough to hold keys, snacks, sunscreen, etc. Everything can be held secured with this added feature.The compact size really made it a game changer. It was easy to stow away in my rather small backpack without the extra weight and bulk. The attached nylon bag made stowing away simple and the carbineer hook made for easy hanging.Cleaning was a snap; just throw it into the washer and it can be air dried quickly. It retains its’ shape through multiple washing. Just rinsing it with a hose can remove most of the debris off.Overall, I’m very pleased with this beach blanket; it’s well made, durable, easy to pack & stow, good size, and a cinch to clean. What is there not to like?

We used this for our trip to Hawaii. Plenty of room for 2 people. Fabric is soft, repels the sand, doesn't get hot in the sun. The sand pouches did well and used the sticks once on a windy day. Fill the sand pouches at each corner then force deep into the sand, holds great.Folding is easy back into the bag which is permanently attached. Also has a storage folder for small items.
