Nails v. Staples explained.
Don't use staples for wood flooring. They hold too good and can't recover from upsets. The cleats on these offer several advantages. First off, youcan get a board up without busting it. This is handy because some combinaions don't work--you TOO will have to do it and the board can be cut and reused somewhere else. Staples will bust the board and then you'll have to pull them or drive them down. I studied this topic for a long while on flooring websites. Also, if you get water damage, the boards may lift a bit and you can re-set the boards when they dry out. It doesn't work all the time, but it never works with staples. If I get a squeaky spot, I nail right through the face and the nail goes out of sight. I might fill in the tiny divot it leaves. Or maybe not.I used these in the cheap NuMax nailer Amazon sells and had maybe 5 jams for the entire floor. Cheaper than a rental and I don't have to rush.We were nailing 1" clear 1/4 sawn hemlock flooring I got from Portland, Or. Beautiful 10" planks. I'll put in a picture when it's all stained. Won't be long before this quality of wood is not available.

Good with pneumatic nailer
Worked great in a pneumatic flooring nailer (the kind you use with an air compressor and hit with a mallet). We installed 3/4" solid oak hardwood. We went through 5 boxes and no jams. My only complaint is that one of the boxes had longer strips than the others. They were too long for the cleat slot in the nailer so we had to break off an inch or two so they'd fit in the slot. All they other boxes had strip lengths that popped right in.

good quality at less price! happy customer
WORKED like a champ, hardly any wasted ones - make sure a drop of oil goes into the nailer after 5 boxes and life is good why pay for the brand name

Bad Quality
The box shipped to us not packaged well, all the nails were loose out of box, and looked like they had been used, had a hard time fitting in floor nailer, very disappointed in quality
