RETROSPEC FREESTYLE TRIANGLE BICYCLE GRIPS

So I live on a sailboat. We were spending some time at a marina in Charleston SC and I had my bike there locked up to the bike rack. Because we were using a car I didn't really use my bike that often so it just sat there, locked up to the bike rack. After a few months we decided it was time to move on (winter in The Bahamas FTW!) so I went to retrieve my bike from the rack. The night before we left some idiot stole my bike! Not only did they steal my bike, they decided they didn't want my daughter's child seat that was attached to the bike so the left it there on the ground. Right next to where my awesome bike was!!! I was super pissed, but what can you do? My bike is a gunmetal grey fixed gear with orange rims, so it's not exactly going to blend in with all the other stolen bikes.So we set sail and head for The Bahamas. Eight months later we're done with The Bahamas and and heading back through Charleston. We stop at the same marina for a while and guess what I see locked up to the bike rack??? MY BIKE!!! I guess some idiot that lives at the marina full-time stole it and then figured when no one started asking around about it that he was in the clear. Now I know this guy is an idiot because he installed a rear brake with black pads (every hipster knows that's not cool to do on a fixed gear bike and the black will stain the rims. My friend Trey is a reporter for a newspaper and therefore super hipster, and he agrees) and he changed the standard black handle bar to a metallic orange. The new orange handlebar didn't match the wheels at all and looks like metallic krylon paint that a redneck would use to spray paint a bowling ball at Halloween to save the 5 bucks instead of buying a pumpkin. So we cut the lock, ditched the terrible handlebars and brake, and got my bike back. I ordered a new black handlebar and installed these grips on it. They work well and look super hipster. I keep getting recruitment emails from Jimmy John's cause they want me to deliver subs.

I have some Ourys on another bike, which I like, but tried these for a change. The Ourys' rubber is 1mm thicker, meaning on the same sized bars these are 30mm and the Ourys are 32mm. The difference is bigger than it sounds, coupled with the comfortable squish of the Oury's thicker rubber, these definitely come second in comfort.On the plus side I prefer the style of these and don't like the intrusive branding on the Ourys (I turned that to face the ground - advertise somewhere else Oury).I fitted them by slipping 3 zip-ties inside, sliding them over the bars, then pulling the zip-ties out. This is the best solution IMO - firmly located without using any bonding. I have used alcohol to slide them on, but it's tricky not to overdo it and can take a while to dry out properly. Some people suggest hairspray, but this will make them hard to remove later.

Super easy installation (a little dish soap on the bars and these grips slid right on). These fit the circumference of the handlebar fine and once the dish soap dried, the grips don't slip. They fit great on my kids' Specialized Hot Rock 16" BMX-style bike, which has coaster brakes. Because the bike has no hand brakes, no adjustments to the grip length were needed. They are probably sized for an adult bike, so they do look a bit long on the handlebar by an inch or so, but that is truly no big deal. My son's bike is black and yellow and the original grips (which had ripped at the ends so needed to be replaced) were black, so these add a nice splash of color. My kid likes them. Price is great. Bought them to replace the ones on my Mongoose kickscooter and they are perfect. They are softer and have a better grip. Bought them in a lighter color than the originals so it helps people see the scooter. Had no issues installing them using a simple trick, I put a few drops of hand sanitizer on the handlebars to create some lubrication that dries as you are installing them.

My kid is learning to ride a bike and there are a lot of falls. The OEM grips have shredded and you can't get OEM replacements. After some research I found these and they were a great fit. Only the right grip needed to be trimmed about an inch due to the hand brake. They were easy to cut and install.One problem, which is why it is demoted a star, is on the first fall the end of the handlebar cut through the grip. I may need to modify the handlebar to make it less likely to cut through the grip, but at this rate I will be replacing these again before my kid finally stops falling.

Package came a few days early. Love how they look. box was completely smashed. Glad It wasn't something breakable.

I bought these grips to girly up a used bike we got from a neighbor. They are well made for the price and the size seem proportioned for a 20 inch bike. My only complaint is more my fault then the grips, I should have dropped a quarter in each one before installing them so when she dropped her bike the end of the handle bar wouldn't punch through the end of the grips. Next time.

Thick material and easy to install (I suggest watching a video to make it easier). Really good rubber material and not worried about beating these up when I ride around town. Great price and like the design of the grips. Go great with my new handlebars on my custom beach cruiser.Also glad that there are small ventilation holes on the ends, helped with installing the grips and will help if I need to adjust / remove them down the road. Let see how long these last.... my guess is longer than the bike!Thanks!

We wanted to sell my daughter bike and realized that handle grips were damaged. The bike was mainly purple so we decided to go for the same colour. Easy to remove the old ones by cutting. To install the new ones...that's a different story. They fit perfect once you manage to slide them on the handles. I lowered the stars to 4 because it's extremely hard to put them on. I tried oil inside, I tried everything I could think of. Nothing seemed to work. I could slide them half way then it will stop. Finally my husband managed to slide it all the way. Just keep in mind that they might be a bit too long. We needed to cut about 3 cm to fit the size.

El producto tardó un poco en llegar por la semana santa, pero llegó en el tiempo estimado y en buen estado. Está hehco de muy buen material (suave, resistente y elástico); además tiene muy buen agarre. Es lo suficientemente blando para amoldarse al tubo que lo quieras introducir. En mi caso lo compré para ponérselo a un bastón ortopédico que tenía dañada la goma de la agarradera. Quedó muy bien. Super recomendable también para la Bicicleta.

Very sturdy material. Very snug fit to put on a toddler bike but once I greased the bars it worked very well to slide on (still with needed pressure) will not slip off at all!

The grips are good. I recently spray painted my bike and needed new handle grips. These ones do the job and are comfortable.. The price was right. The grips were a bit too long and I had to cut them to size. I recommend this product. The package was a bit dusty, so I assume it was sitting on a shelf for a long time.

Lurchased these to replace the wel wirn handles on my sons hook-a-trail bike. These arrived promptly and were as expected.No issues with product, and found price to be fair.Would buy again
