I was looking forward to updating my review after customer service contacted me regarding my first review (included below this update). They sent me an ENTIRE NEW BLUE box set and we received it very quickly. Nice! I really appreciate a company looking out for the customer. So I would have changed my rating to "3 stars", as service is great, product a bit faulty.BUT- just this morning as I was packing my lunch, the hinge on our second (pink) set broke as I was opening it up. In a whole different way than the blue set. This time the hinge just broke apart. The first time the "pin" in the hinge broke off.So clearly a bad design on the lid. I'm very disappointed in it. We loved everything else about the kits. But unless we figure out how to keep the lid on, the set it somewhat useless. :(Customer Service is nice, so I'll give it a second star. But it's somewhat pointless to have good service if the product simply doesn't last.********Original review:We were excited to get this new lunchbox system. It worked great for about 5 weeks... and then the lid hinge broke somehow- no one knows exactly when or how. We took note of the very detailed instructions when we received it, and were careful to take heed. We also only ever hand washed it. Strangely enough, we had been talking about buying more for our family just yesterday (!), but will look elsewhere now. If only the hinge was a simple "ball and socket", it could have been easily snapped back into place. But the very small "pin" was somehow cleanly snapped off while in the cooler bag. It is no longer functional. We are suddenly very disappointed in this product. Buyer beware! There's clearly a reason they go into such great detailed instructions on the opening and closing of the lid. We were careful, but it's a clear design flaw. We have a second one- we're wondering how soon it will break as well.

Creative product that fits all you need for lunch in one handy container. The clips broke after about 30 days rendering the system useless. The company stood behind their product and issued a whole new lunch box no questions asked. Hoping the next one lasts longer. Their customer service department did remind me several times to review the opening and closing procedures of the lunch box.If purchasing get two so you can have one ready to go each morning. A pain with one getting it cleaned and refilled each night.

I bought one of these bento lunch boxes for my husband for his birthday. Within two months, one of the hinges of the lid broke. Therefore, we have been using a rubber band just to try to hold the bento box together. In addition, the lining of the lunch bag is now getting caught in the zipper. We bought a different lunchbox this weekend, and this one will sadly be relegated to the trash.

I purchased my first kooAkoo for my 7 year old daughter who refused to put anything in her lunches for school. This makes packing her lunches funa and she loves to fill each of the compartments with something different. My other two kids were so jealous I bought two more for my 9 and 11 year olds. Although the compartments are small, especially for prepackaged items, I have found that it helps me stay away from over processed junk and actually pack fresh items instead. We love all our kooAkoos and I'd definitely recommend!!

After using this for only three weeks. The locking mechanism on the side broke off. I thought I made a good investment with this product and my daughter loved using it and now sadly it will have to be replaced!

Product is great. Customer service from seller is exceptional. Trays are sturdy; just the right size. Cooler bag has enough room to squeeze in a drink. Snapping the lid is a little tricky. After several uses, the hinge cracked. I emailed the seller. They responded immediately and sent me a new one. This is a company that knows what customer service is. They were kind, professional, and timely.
