Okay... I'm Convinced
My hair is natural and I've been blowing out my hair lately. Goody has always been a good brand to me growing up and I needed a paddle brush. This is the brush I've been hunting for. Feels good in the hand and works in wet hair. It detangles and blows out quickly and the bristles feel great on my scalp. Protip, clean the hairs out when the brush is wet by running a rattail end of a comb while depressing the cushion. This is a gamechanger brush at this price point.

Favorite brush.
This is an excellent hairbrush. We owned this model prior for several years before it recently degenerated and we required a new one. I was 100% not cognizant of it's scalp and/or dandruff claims at the time of original investment. It has, however, worked wonders for my scalp (which I mostly attributed to stiff-bristle stimulation prior to searching for a replacement). In that sense, we both represent "blind study" participants who are 100% satisfied. Additional notes:1. This particular model is a large brush... ~ 8-9 inches or so.2. The paddle portion will come loose if dropped on a hard surface (personal experience), and without a full tang, can be tricky to repair.3. This model does NOT include any strange anti-dandruff additives (that seem to be inferred on other models from Goody).4. It has a thick handle that MAY be tricky for small hands.5. The first element to give out on this brush (in my direct experience) is the netted polymer material that holds the stiff bristles in place... but bear in mind that ours held up through regular use for many years. The copper plating will also vanish sometime in that time-frame.(Wish I'd paid better attention). An excellent brush.

My Hair's Best Friend
I am 70 years old and I have used these Goody hairbrushes exclusively for 30 years or more. My hair has gone through many iterations from extremely thick brown to medium thick white-gray. These brushes have been with me every step of the way. Now, instead of the coarse and flexible hair I once had, it is brittle and medium fine. But it has always been dry and naturally curly and I've always straightened it with a round brush and blowdryer. All of these things contribute to making it easy to shred and break off. I use a good quality shampoo and a superb conditioner to counteract that.Let me say that these brushes are the ONLY brushes up to the challenge of my hair, wet or dry. However, please understand that they are NOT meant for blowdrying. They are for brushing and detangling (yes, detangling!) and one of only a few brushes with tines that reach all the way to your scalp. They absolutely do not rip your hair out if used properly. To detangle wet hair, begin at the bottom length and pull gently through, working your way up in small increments. You'll find that there is no tangle (if you've used conditioner on your hair and left a tiny bit in) that doesn't easily come out.To detangle dry hair, begin at your scalp and gently pull down until you meet resistance. Lift the brush away and reposition it just above and on the resisting hair, pull gently, and the brush will slide through. Continue pulling until you meet resistance and then remove the brush from your hair, repeating these steps until there are no tangles in your hair. Once your hair is detangled, you can brush from scalp to end without it tangling again. It takes no time at all. There are no brushes in the world that treat your hair as well as these brushes do. I have turned my family and friends on to these brushes, which immediately became their favorites. But, you say, your hair is different and more challenging? It's possible, but I doubt it. The only hair more difficult than mine would be if you have black, tightly curled hair. I always wear my naturally curly hair straight. The natural curl gives it extra body. These brushes keep it controllable and healthy and make my scalp feel like heaven. The secret is in knowing how to use them. These pictures explain it better than I can.

Goody Copper bristle brush
This by far the best brush I ever had. It stands up to the toughest of tangles without bending the bristles back and just sliding on my head. Definitely worth buying. Last a long time.

Good hairbrush with all-metal pins
This was our go-to hairbrush for a long time, since normal hairbrushes have plastic tips on the ends of the bristles that break off over time, resulting in bare bristles that scrape your scalp. It would however accumulate dandruff and debris. and was difficult to keep clean. The handle was also made of plastic, the cushion of some rubberized material and the bristles from metal, so it could not be recycled nor was it made from any renewable materials. We switched to another hairbrush that also has all metal bristles but with a wooden handle.

Goody Brush with Copper bristles.
This brush is wide with copper bristles. It is good for the scalp as well as the hair. I have long hair and brush it every morning and night 60 strokes. Gives the scalp and hair a workout and feels good. I'd by it again. It is easy to clean, which is a plus.

Perfect
I love its design and the appearance. The body is white with rose gold/copper accents and the bristles are also rose gold/copper. What I really love about the brush is how big it is. It's lightweight but has a large surface area that makes hair-brushing feel more like a head massage. The bristles are infused with copper, which make them hard enough to massage the scalp without being painful. Over the years, I’ve tried many different kinds of hair brushes - some are too soft/flimsy, while others (eg. whale bone, cherry wood) are way too hard and painful. Brushing my hair was never something I particularly liked or disliked until I got this brush, but now, it is something I thoroughly enjoy!
