Ring Video Doorbell 2 with HD Video, Motion Activated Alerts, Easy Installation (Used Condition)

Didn’t have a bell before this and I am deaf so needed video or flashing lights and flashing lights seemed like kinda of pain to install. Motion detection is useful but be sure to adjust how often it may alert your device/ motion detection area because at first I got alerts all the time when someone left or came into the house even while out an about on my phone. It’s convenient and I like it but with family going in and out so often can be a tad annoying. Night vision works well which I use to take a look outside when having food delivered, in which case motion detection notifies me when the delivery person is here. The picture quality is great so I can easily see who is at my door. Being able to go live and turn my mic on allows me to thank my deliver person or alert my visitor I am on my way to open the door from my phone. Very pleased with my purchase which is very useful.the rechargeable battery makes it easy to install without wires and i’ve had the product for 2 days nownow, the power remains at 100% so far since it is set properly for my notifications and designating usage. The cover has a safety screw that attaches the cover plate to the battery which is located in an internal slot so no need to worry about anyone trying to remove it. With a subscription you can take photos and record video which is obviously perfect when it comes to security.

The picture quality is beyond my expectation. It's only been installed for a couple of days, have not experienced any problems thus far except ... on the negative side, I found the app giving me some problems during installation. I configured it the night before I was going to affix it my house but found the next morning I needed to reinstall it again. After several attempts, I gave up. Then later that evening I tried it again and found it already installed and perform as it did the night before. Not sure why I had the problem but I suspect it had something to do with the Ring app or the Ring website. Now it is working like a champ but if I find any problems with it going forward, I will update this review.Update:After a few days after the above review. I experienced problems. The on-demand video did not work after a motion alert. I needed to wait a few minutes to have a live view Then I found the internal battery was not charging even though I had 19 vac applied by my existing door bell system. I found the door bell did not work at all below outdoor temperatures of 0 degrees fahrenheit - the specs say it should work down to -5 degrees. Needless to say I am returning the unit ... last time I will ever buy a refurbished product. The good thing is Amazon has accepted my return.

I replaced my ORIGINAL RING 1 with this RING 2. I had to drill new holes for the mounting plate. I used both extender plates to add more horizontal and vertical tilt. The most important improvement I like is the easily replaceable battery. I bought an extra OEM RING BATTERY and keep it charged up. Fully charged, it last a month and a half. When the battery starts getting depleted, just click in the next fully charged battery. Easy Pezy!In addition, The picture seems slightly sharper, color and brightness seems to be better controlled.. Before, the background was always washed out with over exposure and the person at the door was darker exposed. Sound quality is better than the original.The description says good used condition, and the product does have a sticker that says RING refurbished. But it comes in a RING box and it comes with all the original accessories. It looked like new. No scratches or dents on the unit. Your experience may vary.Bottom line, I would recommend it as an upgrade replacement to the ORIGINAL RING ONE.

I love the quality & range of view/pictures. It was super easy to install. Here's what I'm not crazy about. I have never owned a Ring or Ring Product prior to this purchase. I open it up, install it & set it up. I go to use the trial that supposedly comes w/ it & immediately get the message my trial period has expired so it doesn't actually give me live view ect. So I "used" my trial period before I even purchased the Ring...okay if you say so...sarcasm dripping here. Anyway I paid for the yr & again happy w/ the quality & performance...not so much the expired non existing free trail. And ordered a 2nd battery which of course, is out of stock & should ship in 2 weeks.

What I like most about my ring, it was very easy to understand the instructions and the install. I did have a problem with trying to get the battery in where it needs to be. I called and reached out to customer service and they walked me through the process and continued to stay on the phone with me until I actually installed it on my house! Excellent customer service, excellent product.We have already caught someone on our property.

I bought this as the price was just right .I couldn't tell it was even used at all .It arrived in a box containing all original packaging. It was sure fire EZ to set up .There are a lot of items screws ,wires etc.The reason is to cover various types of installation.Wireless Hard wired angle mount corner mount and the parts to complete the various types of install.That might confuse some folks so when installing yours take your time to be familiar w/ each part whether U need it or not. Once up and running it was a breeze to complete .I also bought an indoor chime which plugs in and an extra battery to just switch out when needed .But overall I am pleased to the max w/it!!

Had a scary incident with a man knocking at my door at 2am. Had dark sunglasses, mask, and hoodie. The whole Shabang. This finally pushed me to get a Ring system. So happy with this product and now my family and I feel safer now knowing we have some kind of surveillance system going on. Ring was super easy to install and I also ended up buying an extra battery since the battery does die pretty quick. (We rent a house so couldn’t do the self charging system). But it’s not a big deal to change the battery every few weeks.
