Great build, comfortable material, compares well to other brands
I got into "hanging" about a year ago and have accumulated a few hammocks since then, so I am able to compare this to 3 other hammocks that I've owned. The other hammocks that I can compare to are the Kammok Roo , the ENO SingleNest and the Grand Trunk Single . I have sold the ENO, but still own the Kammock and Grand Trunk. I'll compare them on several aspects below:MaterialThe material is a durable parachute nylon similar to the others. What I've noticed beyond durability is the feel of the material against your skin. This hammock is a nice, smooth texture similar to the ENO. Slightly better than the rougher Grand Trunk, but not quite as good as the luxurious Kammock (but you pay $$ for it).DurabilityAll of the hammocks have solid triple stitching that is durable and I have not noticed any fraying or loose thread on any of the hammocks that I've owned.DimensionsI'll list some "factory specified" dimensions below for various hammocks that I've encountered:Kammock Roo: 120" L x 67" WENO Single: 112" L x 55" WENO Double: 112" L x 74" WGT Single: 126" L x 60" WGT Double: 126" L x 78" WThe product description says that this one is 108" x 72". I did some of my own measuring just to compare it to the stated dimensions of other hammocks. Measuring the material loose, laying on the floor, the GT measured at about 111", which is obviously not 126", so either they measure carabiner to carabiner or it may measure slightly longer pulled taught. Keeping that in mind, the measurement for the Arkadia was 102". Again, this is a "loose" measurement, so the specified length of 108" is completely believable. The width measured at 72", so that one checked out right away.Based on the measurements, this measures slightly smaller than the ENO. I showed a picture of the length comparing this to the GT and you can see that, in the real world, the additional length is not as big as it initially seems. As long as you aren't extremely tall, you will not miss that additional length.WeightI didn't refer to specs for this, but got out my own scale and measured each and here's the results:Grand Trunk Single: 19.5 ozKammock Roo: 24 ozArkadia: 20.5 ozThese weights were without any straps and it seems to fall right in line with other hammocks with similar build quality.StrapsOK, just for you folks new to "hanging", NO hammock will come with quality straps. The fact that they included some cord to get you started is a bonus and they really could have just not included anything at all. Kammock and ENO don't provide anything. Grand Trunk provided cord similar to this Arkadia hammock. If you plan to use this frequently, you'll want to invest in some quality straps. I have both the Kammok Python Straps and the ENO Atlas Straps and can recommend them both. I prefer the Kammock straps only because the have a higher weight limit, but both are good. Don't cheap out on these, because cheaper ones stretch and you'll end up with your butt on the ground. These two have very minimal stretching.OK, so after all that, how do I feel about this hammock? I like it! I really do. My wife has claimed the Kammock, so I had been using the GT with slightly scratchy material. Did I mention the color? I love the orange/gray! Its exactly as pictured and is sharp and bold. Now that I have this, it will be my new go to hammock, second only to the Roo.I received the hammock at a discount in exchange for my unbiased review, which I provided above.

Sweet hammock!!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Hey well I got this hammock for my husband for Christmas.. and for me because its a double hammock which means that 2 people could fit in it.Now my husband is an avid hiker and outdoorsman,.. he has some experience with Eno hammocks.. and says this one is comparable..he also says that parachute fabric is parachute fabric on any hammock..I also sent one out to my dad because he's also an avid camper and outdoorsy.. prepper kind of guy.I love how lightweight this thing is all bunched up in its own attached sac, which you'll never lose. it feels like your holding a little pillow hehe. The ropes at the ends the pull it out and stretched seem very thick and strong. and so do the hooks.. it also comes with another set of rope to tie along or around the trees. which we haven't tried that yet.. but I'm sure I could do it because it seems easy to do .When and if you want to use this for emergency situations when caught overnight or in a storm summiting a high peak somewhere, you have this handy with you were you just hang it in a tree and sleep in it. Granted I know I would add other things to it like blankets and a cover to protect me from the elements..I absolutely love the color combination. the contrast between gray and orange.. and the color orange is good to be seen from a far distance when and if your caught in an emergency situation (picture bear grylls in the wild with his hammocks).Multiuse. for your backyard relaxing too!!Like I mention in the video.. the seller sent me several emails explaining how to use it or how to put it up.. which I will find very helpful..I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I'm elated that I did!

This is a GREAT hammock!
I am highly impressed with my new Arkadia Atmos Double Hammock. It is made from a high quality, durable nylon material that support 400 pounds of weight (as stated by the manufacturer). This was my first hammock purchase and, I must admit, I was a bit intimidated. But, Arkadia sent easy to follow instructions on how to hang the hammock, how to tie the knots, and even other hanging options. Five simple steps was all that separated me from my unhung hammock and hours of quiet, peaceful relaxation. I was able to hang my hammock in about 10 minutes, but the quiet peacefulness I envisioned was out the window as all three of my children quickly occupied the hammock at once and kicked me out :) My entire family has enjoyed the Arkadia Atmos Double Hammock and I recommend it for anyone in the market for a new hammock.Additional Product Features:Spacious: The Atmos Double Hammock comfortably accommodates two adventurers for camping, traveling, boating, and backyard relaxingDurable & Light: High-strength 210 T parachute fabric with triple stitching is durable enough for the most rugged tail yet light enough to carry in day bag for everyday adventuresSecure: Supports up to 400lbs of weight with flat black, high strength metal carabiners and 6mm nautical grade static rope with minimal stretchingAccessories Included: Enjoy our starter pack of two 7ft high tenacity poly ropes to tie your hammock to small trees, poles, and masts to get you started without having to immediately buy hammock strapsPackable: Keep it all in the attached stuff sack that never gets lost and allows easy carrying and storageI received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
