Solid and Simple
Really pleasantly surprised with the quality and functionality of this piece! Took me less than 15 minutes to pop it together and affix it to my car. I was skeptical of the round pieces that hold the panels together, thinking they used tension based on the photos, but they actually snap satisfyingly into place. The bungee cords also work better than anticipated. The whole structure is surprisingly sound! Way worth the price.

No more dog in the passenger seat!
Game changer! I have an adorable, 60 lb. English Springer Spaniel who insists on sitting in the front passenger seat. Sometimes a passenger is there, so he sits on their lap! Well, enough is enough. This product solved the problem in my Hyundai Tuscan. Stays in place, adjustable, doesn't rattle, easy to install and a great price. Problem solved! Highly recommend.

Good barrier, needs better attachments
This works fairly well in my Ford Explorer. Easy to put together. Measure the vehicle first and assemble it on a flat surface, don’t try to put it together inside the vehicle. I found the bungee straps to be useless, hence only a 4 star rating. With those, the barrier is very loose because you can’t get enough tension on them. I used large zip ties which you can tighten up and the barrier feels a lot more solid.I’m pleased with it, it helps keep my dog in the rear compartment. Maybe the manufacturer should supply better fittings other than bungee cords.

Works great to add to cargo space
I bought this for my 2003 Ford Explorer so I could add a bit more cargo space behind the rear seats. I know it's not rated for heavy items but keeping blankets and coats in place is perfect. They no longer fall front onto the people in the back seat. Easy to put together and fits very well. The included bungee cords were a plus.

Worth the simplicity
Glad I bought this. It’s a perfect barrier to keep my dogs in the back. It easy to set up and doesn’t restrict the review.

Sizing, Assembly, & installing is a headache.
Comes in 3 pieces. you have to figure out what width you need, "fasten them together" with something not provided, then attach them to the front of the back seats? with something not provided. I would have returned it if I hadn't waited so long (beyond 30 days) to discover it was a pain in the ass to assemble and nothing was provided to secure it.

It keeps my four dogs out of the groceries
And no, I am not an animal hoarder; just lucky. First, I assembled it in the cramped car, so I didn't fit it together exactly as instructed, but it seems to work just fine. My only concern is gravity; because it attaches to headrests and not to the ceiling, there is nothing but slight friction to keep the wire 'fence' from sliding or being pushed down. Still, that has not yet proven to be a problem. And, I'm sure there are plenty of 'bush fixes' to prevent that, if it ever became an issue. The wire fencing, bungees and plastic bits are all solid and well made. I notice that about half of the low ratings for this product are related to the difficulty in assembly, and half about how it may be possible for a large, determined dog to push through. I agree that the instructions are unclear and could be way better, and because it attaches only in the middle (to headrests) and not to the top or bottom, it is susceptible to failure. Which is why it is essential to let your dog know that it is impenetrable the very first time you use it. Adjust it to fit as tightly as possible between the ceiling, the sides, and the floor/back seat. Fully extend the headrests so the gate can be attached at multiple points, and wrap towels around the headrest 'legs' to prevent the bungees from sliding either up or down. Then wedge temporary cargo around the sides and bottom (we used some 2X4s and blankets to fill any gaps). Once the dogs have tested their new 'cage wall', they will be satisfied that it is secure (hopefully), and not continue to test it in the future. Then you can remove the additional stuff you used to make it secure. Ideally, the instructions would have come with helpful hints to improve the installation experience, as well as warnings about how the product was not foolproof. Still, it seems to work quite well for most.

Unsafe fit / unsure of coated metal for dog
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Mentioned my vehicle- unfortunately this is a very flimsy cargo barrier. It doesn’t secure - you have to use bungi cords to wrap around the grates and then the headrest in your vehicle. It’s very top heavy due to securing the bottom. I didn’t feel safe with it in place at all for my dog. It’s also like a coated metal - not sure about that in heat / toxins for dogs chewing. Not for us. Very poor all the way around.
