Blazing BVS-2 Wire Connector for Residential Valve Splices, Yellow, Pack of 20

I had worried about a couple bad reviews I had read but tried them anyway. So glad I did as they work great. Makes me wonder if those bad reviews used the product as instructed. You MUST open the connector fully then insert all the wires until you SEE the bare conductors of the wires touching the plastic then close the connector while holding the wires stable. Foolproof connections if you follow instructions.

Used these to replace low voltage lighting in the front yard. Works great and easy to install.

I wanted these connectors to be the permanent solution to failed landscape lighting connections, but they are too fragile. I've installed them twice now (front and back yard), so am pretty handy with the connections. But a string of lights will stop working, then when I jiggle the connection, they magically come back on. So if the lights work initially, and are connected securely (give them a tug), why do they suddenly become fragile and un-connect themselves? I'm about to give up and install a more stable gel filled connector with twisted wires because these are not worth it.

The connectors work as advertised. However, I had a learning curve in order to use them properly. It's important to strip the wires to the correct depth. I didn't do that initially and had trouble getting the wires to lock in. I also learned to leave extra length in order to be able to maneuver the stripped wires into the connector. Also, I would prefer if the connectors were not bright yellow. It makes it harder to hide them. But they do work.

After you work with these, you won't want to go back to gel-wire caps or anything else. These units nearly bolt the wires together - they won't pull apart, and the waterproof seal is complete.A bit pricey, but justifiable for what goes into these products, and the level of performance they deliver. Particularly if you don't have but a few connections to make, AND if you want to ensure that the connections are never a problem, these connectors are the way to go.

Worked as advertised. Simple to use and install. Works great.

Have problems with fixtures working after connecting. The fixtures are not the problem, it is the connectors

Bought these hoping to get a secure water tight fit and that’s exactly what they do. Kinda pricey but it sure beats silicone and electrical connectors. I’m slowly replacing all my connections with these and so far these work really good!The original connections my landscapers used are slowing failing and when 1 connection goes bad you lose all the lights from there down the chain.
