It's NOT easy to adjust the length, but it is fast and more responsive than rubber or wire ropes...
Notwithstanding the "easy" instructions for adjusting the length, I had to use two sets up pliers to wrangle the end clamp on and off. When you unscrew the flange below the handle, don't try to unscrew it or pull it; you have to YANK the rope to get the two to separate. Also, don't be an idiot like me: I can't find ANY company that sells replacement leather ropes, so before you cut, make sure you haven't cut too much! Having said all that, it's a really nice jump rope. Fast and substantial and you don't get that "I'm going to have to replace this sucker in three weeks" feeling...

Poor Quality hardware. No Instructions for Length Adjustment. At least It Spins.
Bought this a few weeks ago. Quality is questionable at best. The tiny screws holding the end caps spin. Zero instructions come with the product so it's like.. let the buyer figure it out. Kind of feeling a big WTF. And I have no idea what's up with the slotted screws in the end of the wooden handles. One spins. The other I can hardly get to turn. What purpose do they serve? Are they supposed to be removable? I am 5' 8" and have it trimmed so that the exposed leather rope is 86".. or.. a bit over 7 feet. The bad news is the metal collar which is apparently the adjustment point throws the balance off. I've tried it on either side. I am right handed. For some reason I have better luck with the collar on my left side. Got suckered again. Fortunately I paid for it with Amazon Reward Points so it was no cash out of pocket.

Great rope functionally but was a real pain to adjust ...
Great rope functionally but was a real pain to adjust the length - no directions for this are included but basically you unscrew the metal cap on one handle, cut the rope shorter and then reclamp it somehow. I think there is meant to be an adjustable clamp inside one of the handles, but I was only able to remove the metal cap on one handle only and the clamp on that side was not adjustable.Despite the hassle of adjustment, I am really loving this jump rope. I added some rock tape (kinesiology tape) to the wooden handles to provide a better grip for my sweaty hands and it is working extremely well.

Very good jump rope
Very good jump rope. Good weight for jump and arms. I had to adjust a bit, about 6 inches. Not too hard to open handle and cut rope. Also, has a great leather smell to it!

Heavy, high-quality jump rope
I do the rope for about 1/2 each day as part of work out regiment.Recently, I began training my partner Kay, and needed a rope for her. I choose this one because it looks like something that would last many years. As expected, this rope is super high quality and its heavy. The heavy aspect is great for someone who really gets into cross fit and HIIT training but not a good "starter rope" for someone like Kay. The material of the handles and the rope itself is beautiful and clearly made to last. If you are just started to add jumping rope to your exercise routine I'd suggest seeing if this company makes a lighter rope or simply plan on growing into it from a strength standpoint.

Also the leather rope I found to be to light for a good jumping experience
It was not what I expected. The jump rope came out of the handles at an angle. Also the leather rope I found to be to light for a good jumping experience. I should have kept the packaging and returned it.

HAPPY HOPPER
I really like the Frog Outdoors leather rope. The length is just right for me (5'5"),but a bit short for my husband (6'). The rope is a solid 1/4 inc leather strap, the wood handles have some heft to them, the ball bearings and the weight of the rope makes it swing smoothly. If I smack my feet with it, it is not because of the rope. I have had one of those jump ropes with the a wire encased in plastic that tangles easily because it never seems to totally straighten, even after I stopped rolling it up on the holder.

Poor quality
Rope split after first use. Not very high quality. Would not reccomend for serious use.
