Very pleased for the price. I bought this for our 14-year-old budding chess player. It's a nice quality for a kid and it's portable so he was able to take it on a long car ride and play in the car with his sister. We have a large family and a two year old, so this is a nice set he can tuck away in his bedroom. We love that it's magnet and wood and portable!

Nice small chess set. My son loved it for Christmas. It's small and portable for him to keep in his backpack to take to school. Good quality construction.

Magnets were not as strong as depicted - pieces can move around when the board is not laid flat. Otherwise, I do like the storage slots, and the board itself seems relatively good quality overall.

A fair value for the price. Several pieces were cracked upon arrival. After the first weekend of use the felt bottoms are coming off of several of the pieces and the varnish is chipping in places on the board. I would not purchase this set a second time.

Wood quality is nice. Workman ship is fine, but not craftsman level. The magnets are okay. But I wish they were stronger. Also there is no metal on the outer inch of the board so there is no where to put your pieces without them binding to each other and active pieces. You have to place them off the board.Quality of the pieces themselves is great. Most likely pre-bought by the company.Hinges are super cheap and I'm sure will break soon.Good size.

Was a bit smaller than I'd anticipated somehow, but the craftsmanship is glorious. Will make a beautiful gift!

My 11 year old niece loved this chess set! Very happy with the quality.
