I asked questions about these straps, did not get meaningful answers. Maybe I asked the wrong questions. Maybe this will answer similar questions.As pictured, there are four pieces to the two straps, but there are SIX loops! The female non-adjustable strap is the elastic side, the short strap at about 15" in length. The male side consists of ONE male side-buckle, a longer strap, with a loop on BOTH ends. BUT, only one loop is large enough to pass the side-buckle through. Makes no difference, as there is no way to use two loops on one strap to loop around two bars/handles. Why the small loop is there, I don't know. All it does that I can figure is make it pretty much impossible to put a tri-glide on the strap to help contain any slack on the strap once it is tightened.The two straps could be described as a 'Y' configuration, but that would not make a lot of sense, the two ends of the longer strap being different sizes and not both usable as termination points.Point of this review is less to speak to the effectiveness of the straps but to show/say exactly what they are. I didn't have that sorted before I bought 'em, do now. It's much better to know BEFORE you buy, imo.They are sturdy enough. Well sewn. Elastic is robust. They are indeed 1" straps. I'm sure I'll find them useful.
