Metra Electronics Double DIN Car Stereo Radio Install Dash Kit for 1999-02 Silverado/Sierra

This fits but does not fit flush and rattles.Not a fan.

Metra was the only aftermarket manufacturer of a 2 DIN replacement bezel for my 2002 GMC Sierra SLT, so I grudgingly paid the price after my brother (a 25 year custom audio veteran) told me it was going to work. I can honestly say, Metra made replacing this bezel the easiest part of my entire upgrade project (new receiver, speaker, amp, wiring, soundproofing, etc). The instructions were clear, all the clips were included and it snapped on perfectly after a few dry fit attempts to make sure the receiver was mounted at the correct depth. So, while I didn't like the price, the value of having a new bezel that looks factory new and was literally idiot-proof (I installed it myself, no help from my brother) with a 2-DIN touchscreen in a 20 year-old truck means they've made a great product that's worth the price.

So The kit works well. It doesn’t exactly match the shade of my black interior. The only real complain I have with this kit are the clips. They are cheap and don’t hold the dash plate in well. So to anyone who looks to use this kit, keep the factory clips and use them instead. Other than that the kit did what it was supposed to do for a good price without any cutting.

Recommended for anyone that wants to upgrade to a double din Auto stereo. The faceplate / bezel looks great.Only issue pertaining to this product are the dash clips provided. A slight manufacturer flaw causes them to pop out and not hold to the dash. With a little ingenuity you can make them work, but if you can try to use the original clips off the old bezel. Overall, I'm very pleased with the end result.

Awesome kit and a great price. Makes installing an aftermarket receiver so easy.

The hole was too small for my DDIN radio, I had to force the radio to mount further back so the face plate is behind the bezel, this makes using the buttons difficult. The fitment on my dash isn't as good as I'd hoped either. It makes my 4WD buttons look off-center from the trim, and it doesn't quite sit flush with the dash like the stock bezel does, in places you can touch it and it bends inward, because it's not even touching the dash in those spots. The clips are complete garbage, as others have said save yourself the headache and use stock clips. I'll just be trimming the stock bezel and getting rid of this piece of expensive garbage. It also feels thin and flimsy compared to the stock one, but not enough so that I'm worried it would break easily, just 'feels' cheap. For the price I expected much more out of this...at least something that fit or even just served it's advertised purpose.Other notes, I thought my radio might be oversized at first, but it fits perfectly fine in another DDIN faceplate I have from my other vehicle. Extremely disappointed with this purchase.

The supplied clips suck. Do yourself a favor and swap over the clips from the factory bezel. Other than that, great kit

Worked perfectly for my double din. The only thing is just like the other reviews, use factory clips. Go ahead and throw the ones they send you away, they don’t work
