University of Chicago Press Legal Writing in Plain English, Second Edition: A Text with Exercises

Practice, practice, practice - the book’s principles are reinforced via exercises. If you do the exercises, and then apply the exercises to your work product, your writing will improve. I give a copy of this book to my legal staff upon intake, and as gifts to students. A new edition is coming out later this year and I plan to purchase that one as well. It is an excellent addition to a legal library.

Excellent book for the legal writer, it tries to change the way to write legal documents. Highly recommend.

Useful book for both english and foreign lawyers. It helps you to draft a contract with the right clauses.

Wonderful book on how to learn to write in clear English. I have bought this books many times to give to people. The book is very helpful in teaching you how to go from convoluted writing to easy to understand English. Highly recommended for anyone, not just lawyers.
