GREAT 3 CD COLLECTION OF 70S GLAM, , HARD ROCK ,PUB ROCK AS WELL AS HR/HM...
i wanted to add sleaze rock to that title heading but amazon said it was to long, well ok here we are again, grapefruit records have done it again as i should really put it for those of us who still like the cd format (and in my case the vinyl format as well) anyway we got very interesting players across this 3 cd collection that usually in most cases would not appear on a set like this together but let me point them out & i think you will get the picture we have got on disc #1 ROXY MUSIC, SPARKS, SILVERHEAD, BE BOP DELUXE,BEADED LADY & BLACKFOOT SUE, and THE HEAVY METAL KIDS DISC #2 SLADE, THIN LIZZY, LOU REED, THE HAMMERSMITH GORILLAS, IGGY & THE STOOGES, BRYAN FERRY,ENO & this disc closes out w THE SWEET, DISC #3 NEW YORK DOLLS, STRAWBS, HARD STUFF, FLAMIN GROOVIES, FUMBLE, (JESSE HECTORS EARLY BAND) CRUSHED BULTER, THE SHAB & disc #3 closes out w/ MOTT T HE HOOPLE so across these 3 cds you get a lot of genres from the 70s like ART ROCK, FOLK as well as a bit of GARAGE ROCK so all in all this 3 cd clam shell box set really covers a lot of ground not just glam & street urchins like the title says, what i love about this set is it covers all those genres right up to 1976 before the uk punk explosion in 1977, great stuff here, 5 stars all the way, great remastering on all 3 discs that come in mini lp replicas of lp style jackets.......... i was most impressed to find CRUSHED BUTLER HERE as i love that as that was a brief band he had around 1969/70 by jesse hector years before the hammersmith gorillas or the gorillas. i think its fair to say most real oldtime rockers will really like this set of most of what is on it.......

Prompt delivery.
It came from overseas but was delivered faster than I expected. The item was, needless to say, nice.

soundbytes are available
I do not own this, but all 66 song soundbytes are available at AllMusic. Sounds like another very good diverse collection from Cherry Red (they just keep churning out great stuff for us boomers).

Oh! You Crazy Things
I read a review about this in the latest issue of MOJO magazine and was intrigued enough to quickly order it. Being from the Sonoran Desert (and now 65 years old), I was not exposed to a whole lotta glam rock. Though I knew of several of the artists featured here (Lou Reed, Roxy Music, Thin Lizzy, Sensational Alex Harvey Band), it’s the obscure and one-fers that really make this set shine. I listened to all three CDs the first night while reading and played them all again a few days ago at my girlfriend’s place. Props to those who compiled the booklet, which is invaluable to learning more about this phase, albeit short, of musical history.

Fantastic set!
Ordered this one last year as a Christmas present for myself. Great selection of artists. Set also pairs nicely with the more recent Grapefruit offering Miles Out To Sea.

Grab bag of glam and boring 70s rock...
Another pretty decent grab bag of glam rock and proto punk but let down by the inclusion of several dull boring 70's rock bands who were neither glam queens nor street urchins - just more failed afghan coated, bearded , long haired hippy losers judging from their photos! Still, overall a pretty decent comp with great informative sleevenotes and not too much duplication of over familiar material from similar ventures.

Generoso batiburrillo
Todo lo que hay corresponde a lo ofertado? Tengo mis dudas, algunas enormes... Todo lo que hay es interesante? Sigo teniendo dudas... Todo lo que hay retrata una época? Absolutamente, así que la compra es lógica...
