Update:The company reached out to me and gave me a new tag and a refund free of charge. On their website, you are able to customize the side that doesn't have the QR code on it (on pic). Great customer service but the product still has the one flaw mentioned earlier. To rectify this, I took an old screen protector that I had laying around and made a little waterproof casing. This should protect the tag and bump up the durability. I included pics of what I did and the issue I had. I live on 5 acres and have swamp land in the back of my yard so this product may be just fine for the average user. If you do a lot of water activities though, I recommend this method. I would give 5 stars if the durability was better.Original:I love the idea of this tag so much and was initially really happy with it but it is not very durable. I have a large yard and my dog runs all around and occasionally goes to a swampy area of the yard so his tags get wet. The QR code is printed on a sticker it seems so it is now peeling. I have had it for about 2 weeks.

My cat doesn't leave the house. But sometimes she can hide so much that it is impossible to find her. She recently disappeared for three hours. We looked for her on the street and asked neighbors. We wrote advertisements. Fortunately, the cat suddenly appeared. But our worries and experiences made us think about such a device.

When I tried to connect the QR it said that I was assigned to another pet. I have to travel to UPS to return it in order to have a replacement. I won’t expend gas and time just because this is a poor quality product.

I probably misunderstood the features. I thought I could track this from my phone. The truth is that the QR code has to be scanned for it to give the GPS location of where it was scanned. So if the dog is found, the person that found it will have to use his mobile phone to scan the code and that will tell me where the do is. I don’t imagine a thief doing that...Again, perhaps my fault for not reading carefully.
