South Shore Avilla Rattan Headboard, Queen

The legs are solid with no way to attach to a frame without drilling holes or some other accommodation. Instructions say to mount to wall, but that is not what I want. Should be made clear in product description.

If you are not handy with tools, DO NOT PURCHASE this headboard. This headboard IS NOT ready to be attached to a bed frame. The legs to the headboard (without any mounting holes) are screwed into the base - not sturdy whatsoever. The headboard does come with two pre-mounted keyhole plates which require precision in placing two drywall screws (not included) into the wall at the exact height and width (57 1/2"). The problem is the head of most drywall screws strong enough to hold the frame is too large to fit the keyhole plate. A smaller head screw is not long enough to remain in the wall. I opted to mount a cleat on the headboard and fasten it to the wall. Far easier to manage. Fortunately, I had the tools and materials to complete the job with a minimum of difficulty. The instructions are a joke...no useful information at all.

Had to cut backing to get to mounting nut to secure screw in legs. They were loose in wood and would not work. We completely reengineering and mounted on floor with L-brackets and flat laying 2 x 10.Not as tall of headboard. Still looks great.

Installed headboard on wall of shiplap and it looks fantastic!

This headboard was perfect for my guest bedroom. Seems to be very sturdy. I was concerned about attaching it to the bedframe but turns out you simply mount it to the wall, similarly to hanging a picture. The rattan gave the room a nice warm tropical feel.

Great product. Didn’t use legs since attached to wall. Mounting definitely 2 person job!

Loves this soooo much. It’s perfect for the coastal look and my guest room.
