These are not for comfort
I thought I was buying grips to protect my hands. However, these are as hard as car tires. They will change the diameter of the rod, but won't do much at all to cushion your hands.

its hard not soft
haven't used it on a pull up bar yet because i don't think it would make a difference

Confort
The standard size is a little thick would go with the small but great at keeping calluses off your hands.

Work, but slide around
These do add extra diameter to my barbells and have improved my grip strength. However, they are too large for a standard 1" barbell, and so they slide around when you use them. They aren't soft, but I don't care about that. Just wish they stayed in place better

Diameter is too large for my purpose
This product, the small size grip, seems well made of food-quality silicone. It fit snugly around my 1-inch diameter chin up bar and did not shift under load. But I returned it because the diameter is too large. I ordered it on the strength of a customer's answer that its wall thickness was 0.125 inch and thus would add only 0.25 inch to the total diameter of my bar. That would have been an ideal grip diameter of 1.25 inches. In reality, the small grip added a total of 0.625 inch, which is too much for my hand size when performing weighted chin ups. As a replacement, I have ordered a 1.00 inch I.D. x 1.25 inch O.D. silicone hose.

Love it!
I love these! I got the blue large ones. I have issues with bare metal and heavy weights contacting my fingers. Bare bar cuts circulation off as I have issues with circulation where my fingers hurt and turn white. These fixed the issue! I have a thinner bar (standard bar) and this makes the grip larger. It has a bit of cushion to it. At weights over 135lbs it’ll compress a little. I use it for barbell row, deadlift, bench press and all my Olympic lifts. There’s a slight gap between the two ends but not an issue. The grip width is fine for me. I have medium size hands (M gloves). Doesn’t move when in use. I could imagine at weights over 225 might start to pose some kind of issue with integrity. Careful which way the slot opening is as you don’t want it to slip off.Don’t know what else I could say!

It works
I found the Gym Weight Bar grip, and I have to say it works. I don't have no more hand pain.

I don't usually review products...
But when I do it's because they either suck or are awesome. And this one is definitely the latter. Nice affordable alternative to fat gripz. Fits the bars and dumbbells I'm using in the gym with a bit of a gap. The gap is necessary. No gap then it's not gripping the handle and will not hold tight and could rotate. On the fence about picking up a pair? You won't be after a few bicep/tricep supersets that leaves everything below the shoulder down sizzling like bacon in a hot cast iron pan.
