Too small (for some grills) - You will need extra clips SKU: 65634
They are too small for some grills and then they will fall down, possibly at the worst point during grilling, but for sure when you clean then. Doing some research shows that the original Weber grates have the same problem, so you might as well use these. The most likely scenario is that Weber has QA issues, and sold different sized grills over the years, and some work, and some don't. Weber claims it's misuse of the grill that causes it to grow wider, but that doesn't explain why the old grates work in my grill, and the new ones don't.Turns out Weber sells: "Weber OEM Cooking Grate Support Clip Set SKU: 65634" Based on some of the comments, it seems it's what they send you out for free if you go through the support pain (and only if you purchased their original grates for $90 or so). From the Amazon listing for the above: "This set can also be used on Q 300 and Q 3000 series models if your grates are falling into the cookbox. You must order 2 sets of this part number (4 clips total) for Q 300 and Q 3000 series models." Currently they are listed on Amazon for about $50 (2 sets + shipping)." Clearly Weber is aware that their grates are too small for some of the grills. Google the SKU above for best price, though.

Manufacturing Defect and Shipping Box Held Together On Side by the Shipping Tape
Decided to buy this grill grate because of price. I've had good luck purchasing non-OEM aftermarket parts for lots of things. Anyway, I didn't think to take a picture of the shipping box. The long seam was damaged so that the shipping tape held about half of the seam together. The main problem is the shipping defect. Photo 1 shows the view of the bottom side. Photo 2 shows the top side. So, there is some sort of defect in the run that included this grate and Quality Control. The issue is obvious enough for an employee on inspection to pull the item. The return process was easy and efficient. I chose to return the item via our local Kohl's store. Printed out the return showing Kohl's as the drop off site. Brought the item to the Kohl's Customer Service desk. The clerk printed the return confirmation. No hassles.I read some of the reviews before the initial buy. The grill fit squarely on my Q300 and felt about as heavy as the original grill grate. The grate, in acceptable form, will do the job. I chose to have Amazon send me the same item again b/c of price. We'll see if the new grate comes in w/o any defects. If yes, time will tell on durability.UPDATE TO REVIEWThe replacement grate came in and it is in perfect condition. The grill fits squarely on the holder lips and feels as heavy as the original grate. Regarding using KOHLS as the return site, won't use that site as a drop off again. My original remarks about the easiness of the on-site return stand. However, it has been nearly a week since the drop off and UPS has no record of my return package. I visited the store and the representative finally found out that UPS picks up packages about once a week or so. I'll have to follow up beginning of next week if UPS doesn't then confirm my tracking number. Will update once I know the status. So, lesson learned, drop off any return items for Amazon to a UPS site.

Grill Grates Keep Falling Down - Where are these clips others talk about???
I thought these Grill Grates would be a way to save some money vs. buying OEM from Weber for my Q300. The grates constantly fall down into the grill with very little movement and I have to reach down with my wooden cleaning tool to pull one or both of the grills up and place them back on the nubs that are built into the Weber grill side to hold the grill in place. I'm guessing that these were not made to OEM specs. My original Weber Grill grates never fell into the fire with food on the grill. I read on other grill grates that I looked at...that they came with some sort of clips, so that they would fit properly into the Weber...maybe this company should have included those...then again, I would probably not have purchased these...knowing that they would not fit properly.

Scam
paid quite a bit extra for the 1 piece graye as shown in the picture and talked about in the reviews. Arrives as a 2 piece the same thing you can buy for way less money elsewhere.

Not porcelain coated.
Not coated like the OEM from Weber but cheaper.I just seasoned them like a iron skillet and work fine.Fit the bowl perfectly.Use PAM on the grill before lighting the grill. Use a Weber Soft grill brush while grill is warm to clean. Coat the grill with PAM before closing the lid for storage. Helps to also use a Grill Cover.
