Ashlee Simpson ~ Ashlee Simpson
D**Y
Rockin and dancin on one single
This first part of the 2 CD set has the album version of "La La", which is a power punch of guitars, and Ashlee sounds more confident and less whiny then in her first single "Pieces of Me." You wouldn't really guess this was her if you heard it on the radio. The only downside to the sharp boys remix is that it's only four and a half minutes. Other than that, it's the usual pounding dance beats you expect from the sharp boys, and manages to retain the hard sounding integrity of the original with all of ashlee's vocals. Hopefully, the full length version will surface on another singles.

Pure Record Company Corporateness With No Talent
With or without the lip-sync fiasco on Saturday Night Live, the answer was already abundantly clear to all music lovers of sound mind across the world; Ashlee Simpson has no talent. This particularly song off 'Autobiography' also happens to be her absolute worst; where is the originality? Where do the cliches end? Everything from the insipid lyrics to the dyeing of her hair from blonde to jet black...it's a complete pose. It's incredible that people cannot see through this.If you are still on the fence, please don't support Ashlee Simpson or for that matter any other record company masterminded cash cow garbage. Simpson's record company couldn't care less about her; all they care about is making a quick dollar off of her cash cow releases. To do that, they try to convince you she has talent, and they try to convince herself of that as well. Don't buy into it, they are lying right to your face. That, my friends, is the state the music industry is currently in. Do you want truth? Buy an Ani Difranco album.

Brings a smile to my face...
This CD is all about the Sharp Boys remix of "La La." Finally! A Top-40 remix that harkens back to the days of the Hex remix of "Stranger in my House" and the Calderone remix of "Independent Women." The Sharp Boys mix brilliantly improves the song, emphasizing the catchy hooks and Simpson's nasal vocals, which sound great set against a bumping dance beat (as opposed to the rock sound of the original - which actually drowns out Simpson's voice). Questioning the authenticity of Ashlee Simpson's talent is irrelevent here, after one listen to this fantastic remix, all that one if left with is a catchy song set to an awesome beat.

Laaaaaaaaa-ed out!
There are just so many songs that can either be good, or just outrageously annoying. For Ashlee Simpson, she really doesn't know how to make it, not just being under the shadow of her sister Jessica, but also because of her lip-synching sensation from Saturday Night Live. Her single, La-La which was recently used for Thermasilk Shampoos & conditioner products really isn't a very good song at all. I honestly felt bugged out by the song. She was fairly well with her first song, Pieces Of Me, but this one shows that she really can't rock out at all. This song can't rock either.Song: F
