Q: How is the arch support with these boots?

Walked, hiked all over Iceland in these. Personally had not a single complaint. Support, comfort, warmth on point :)

Q: I looking for a boot i can wear while backpacking through asia. i see it said to keep the cold out... can i also wear this without melting my feet?

I will tell you that my wife wears hers when we go ATV'ing all the time and hasn't complained about it melting her feet off. That said a couple considerations are that my wife is always cold and she is sitting on a machine riding vs walking so even though we may be in a warm environment it may not feel as bad when not actively hiking. Might be comparing apples to oranges here based on activity levels. That said she really loves the boots but I highly recommend ordering at least one half size over what you normally would order consistent with others reviews. Thanks, Shannon
