Stunning watch for little money

Lovely time piece, and lovely presentation too!

Accurist is one of those classic watch makers and this watch shows the attention to detail that the company is well known for.This has a Black steel strap which is very comfortable and is literally a perfect fit for my wrist.I love the big dial which is 44mm wide and it has a midnight blue background with a rose gold accent around the edge and on the 2 chronograph dials and numbers which is a very stylish look .The watch works as it should being a traditional Japanese quartz watch and I never had any issues with the watch losing time.I don't go swimming so I can't comment on the full water resistance but have got it wet when washing my hands and it had no problems.This is a very stylish watch from a great watch company and made very well but the biggest draw would be the price.At £199 this is way too expensive, with a lot of their other watches that look as good but cost between £50-£80 this would be hard to recommend unless you have a lot of money.

I have a few Accurist watches as they're decent and their customer service is excellent. This watch is perhaps a little different from what I would normally choose. It's fairly large at 44mm in diameter and it looks bigger due to the absence of a bezel. The contrasting colours of black and gold, as well as the navy starburst effect blue dial, complement each other nicely. The dial shimmers in the sun and looks lovely. It is also very easy to read.The watch is made reasonably well and I don't see any issues with the quality of the finishing. The bracelet is a bit rattly, but does look nice and suits the watch well. Accurist will provide extra links on request.Powering the watch is a Japanese Seiko VD51 Quartz Chronograph. It's a decent movement that has a 3-year battery life (using an SR920SW cell). The case-back is screw-down so the battery can be changed very easily at home (with the correct case-back removal tool).At the end of the day, this is a fashion watch, rather than a timeless heirloom. I would not pay full price for this as it simply does not possess the quality of a watch I expect at this price. I do like the look of this watch and will probably keep it in my collection, but ultimately, you can get better watches from brands such as Seiko, Citizen, Orient, Vostok, and even the newest to my collection "Depth Charge" which have been hugely impressed with.

I was really impressed with this smart looking, elegant Accurist Watch.A quick confirmation with my partner and she insisted I wore it.It looks impressive.Accurist make great and accurate watches.The Japanese Quartz movement ensures really good accuracy.Japanese Quartz movements are recognised as the best in the world and amazing to say the best quartz will always beat the best automatics including my beloved Rolex.It is water resistant but I would not risk swimming wearing it, occasional splashes or rainy weather is no problemTo say it is eye catching is an understatement it really makes a great impression and the comments you receive will really please you.If it is a gift then you are quids in- it is sure to please.That face has two circular dials, a date window and numbers in Arabic at 2,4,8 and 10 which looks great.The strap is metal and typically with Accurist the strap really suits. That Black Ion-Plate looks fantastic.The date window is clear without spoiling the effect of the smart face in Midnight Blue.Overall?A really beautiful watch, smart, striking (in looks) and great value.Recommended.Thanks for Reading.

Whilst I don’t suppose I will every use the chronograph feature of this watch – though it works perfectly well – the dials and additional crowns/buttons add to the design and it is a design I love. The face is a sunray blue with brass/rose hands and surrounding tachymeter set against a black ion-plated case and strap in stainless steel and the contrast is just gorgeous. Being a steel strap, it might need professionally adjusting, though Accurist do provide a free service where you can send the watch for adjustment (postage, however, is clearly not free).I have a few Accurist watches now and this really is my favourite, it looks marvellous and I genuinely enjoy its aesthetic.

I quite like this watch. It is satisfyingly heavy as befits the chunky look.The clasp is easy to use and the strap fitted first time (so I can't comment on how easy it is to correct).Generally the watch face is clear, good contrast on the hands and number. The one problem I had was the date window is a bit small, maybe it's my eyesight that's at fault though
