16 Pc Security Tamper Proof 6 Point Star Bit Set Torx Socket Tamperproof Tool !!

Even though I only needed a single Torx T-6 bit, I ordered this complete set because it was so inexpensive and it included the Security bits as well.However the Torx T-6 bit had imperfections which did not allow it to fit. Fortunately I was able to get the slightly smaller T-5.5 bit to do the job. But I had to be careful not to strip the screw head by tightening too hard.So I now have a very nice set of Torx screwdriver bits, except for the T-6 bit. I still need to eventually get a replacement T-6 bit.

Pictures were misleading. I needed a security screw and the size that's in this pack and it wasn't. I needed a torch T8 with the security star in the middle, but this doesn't have one, and they don't accept returns, buyer beware! Otherwise I can still use them so when my others wear down. So I did give some stars.

Bought this item so I can take apart a couple of Xbox controllers. Problem is, the two screws at the bottom of the controller are too deep. Not sure why some of the answers I recieved claimed that this would do the job. However, it was only about 6 bucks, and I like acquiring tools and such, so I'm not really out anything.

I needed take apart a kershaw knife (wanted to remove the pocket clip). It required a T6 tip, which is smaller than tips that come in the majority of sets, including the set we have from Harbor Freight.The tip worked fine. The only problem I had was I found it quite difficult to work with these small screws without a magnetic tip and these tips do not appear to be magnetic at all based on my testing.If I had to do more than just move a few screws, I would definitely spend more and get a set that is magnetic.

the smaller bits are not hard enough to keep from twisting themselves. a few of them twisted up and are ruined. The larger ones are okay but I'm still a little nervous every time I use them. But I suppose, for the price, I have gotten my money's worth out of them. A very specialized tool and when you need one, nothing else will work.

It is true, as other reviewers said, that the center circle is off center. I managed to use security T20 bit, despite its a bit off center. But I can imagine issues with some security torx bits, due to off center. However, this is extremely cheap, thus I would not complain much, even if just to use these as normal torx bits.

The Torx bit set was adequate, and would have earned 4 (maybe even 5) stars, but the delivery was awful. I ordered this item on 1/3/14 and received it on 1/15/14--later than Amazon's estimated delivery date. This item was sold by AllTopBargains but fulfilled by Amazon. I'll be watching closely from now on and won't be ordering anything from AllTopBargains again.

I needed one particular size of Torx Security bit and found that many tool kits stopped two sizes short of what I needed. Since I don't like buying just one size and have always found myself needing one or two more sizes over time. This tool box had the best range of sizes for 95% of my requirements. It would have been more expensive to purchase the two or three sizes I wanted individually and this offering gave me the "Best Bang for the Buck" in my view. The individual bits were well made and I couldn't be happier.
